Turks sign deal with Qatar for military base in Qater

@atatwolf

There is so much confusions in those mullahs arguments, and need some time to Show them those and then move on the discussion in a healty way; however, Turkey does not make up her future plans according to Mullahs' concerns... already all worth answering arguments are answered.

... so please do not let it repeat again over again, the thread is more serious than mullahs.

That is not the point. Iran can put forces in Greece if it wants. My question was why do you never express criticism on the poisonous foreign policy of Iran?

What is the difference between being Turkish and being a Turkish nationalist?

Others already told you how Iran is threatening Turkish security by their poisonous foreign policy. If Iran wants to help Turkey they can stop killing Syrians and help 4 million Syrians that are in Turkey. How many Syrian refugees did Iran accept? About Saudi Arabia, with foreign policy that you support (Iranian foreign policy) you don't have the right to criticize anybody. You don't have to tell us what you are or what you are not. We already know what you are.

Because I don't agree with Iran's policy vis a vis ISIS and Nusra in Syria and Iraq being 'poisonous'. That's why. Not because of anything else. I'm all against empire building, and some Iranians had that silly notion that propping up a few idiots in the middle east is great, but when left with the choice of ISIS/Nusra vs Assad, I'll pick Assad any day of the week and twice on sunday. Many people falsely think that 'only if we can just overthrow Assad, Allah will come to earth and kick ISIS' ***'. Not going to happen.

So you think nationalism is inherent to being Turkish? Wow, enlightenment needs some more time I guess.

I agree on the Turkish Syria problem. The millions of refugees, the internal unrest that happens within Turkey because of the war on it's borders, but Iran really hasn't a couple dozen allies to choose from. It has Iraq and Syria. And supporting ones allies really is what being an ally is all about. Turkey would do the same thing if it was Iran. Again, I'm saddened by the effects this war has on Turkey, but Iran doesn't do this to spite Turkey. Iran doesn't want a takfiri ruled Syria, that's it. Turkey is majority Sunni, Iran is not. Guess who is the next target if the takfiris win?

I'm VERY proud of the Ottoman empire, trust me. But in the present, it stand for the MHP, which I can't support. But to each his own. About Iranian policy, if that means fighting ISIS and other takfiris, I'm all for it. If Iran's goal is to act against Turkey, I'm against it. Anyway, let's hope this move is symbolic and pays off for Turkey. (we all know what happened to Pakistan when they got too close to the GCC, and how they were going to get 'repaid' when refusing to go to war in Yemen recently. Let's hope Turkey doesn't become a mercenary force.

Turkey can build a base in Qatar if it wants. Turkey can also send its naval elements to Qatar if it wants. Turkey can send its future LPD to Qatar if it wants. And there is nothing Iran can do to stop it. Just as Turkey can not stop Iran from meddling in Syria/Iraq. Moral of the story: Turkey will have a growing presence over the years in the Gulf and this is natural. Any interference with this cycle aiming to curb this growth will prompt new crises in the Middle East which is the last thing we need. Keep your fingers crossed kids.

In other words, the Turks are back - which is a good thing. Hope eventually the Westerners are expelled.

Jokes on the person who wants to 'expel westerners'; mate get out of a western country if you are so against it.

P.S Turks are not back. We were always here!!!!

Your lack of knowledge can be seen in here, Ottoman didnt aim to east, but aimed to west and non-muslim areas to spread islam.
soon you will bitch about the source of picture posted by @Sinan , Here it is with a quote ;
Seljuq dynasty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After arriving in Persia, the Seljuqs adopted the Persian culture and used the Persian language as the official language of the government,[18][19][23][24][25][26][27][28][29] and played an important role in the development of the Turko-Persian tradition which features "Persian culture patronized by Turkic rulers."[30] Today, they are remembered as great patrons of Persian culture, art, literature, andlanguage[18][19][20] and are regarded as the partial ancestors of the Western Turks – the present-day inhabitants of Azerbaijan, Turkey, andTurkmenistan.

yes except Turkey exceeds your nation in every field
from economic perspective to military
from quantity to quality,

It is amazing that almost all Iranians think that Turks ended up in Anatolia and greater Azerbaijan with a magic carpet or something. :disagree: All Oghuz tribes went conquering south from Caspian sea while Kipcak went north from Caspian. Until recently Iran was ruled by Azeri's and other Turkics for more than 1000 years. Even in the battle of Dandanaqan in 1040 we didn't fight against Persians but against rivaling Turkic tribe Ghazanids

every race had their time if greatness , but only some of them could stand on their feet after failures ....

and they Ottoman aimed east as well , but they failed badly ... and their early wining was just about having guns and more man power ....

well , Nader Shah butchered Ottomans caliph and his army of 50,000 only with 3500 troops .... so much for not aiming to east ....
even in Qajar dynasty Abbas Mirza was able to teach you some good lessons ....

you Turks are power hungry , this is in your gens , you would attack anywhere unless you don't see any chance of wining ....

and thanks to Erdogan , soon we you will divided in smaller countries ....
