So does a lot of other central asian states, that doesnt mean the dominant influence is US. Thrust me nothing equals Russia in terms of influence and leverage in this geographical area. However Turkmenistan is probably the only country that can break free and have more flexibility purelly because of its massive gas reserves. This is probably why in the last couple years they had massive arms deals with China, Turkey and Israel as evident in their yearly military parades.

When ever some country wants us to do something, she shows interest in JF-17. Myanmar prevented any action by OIC and specially by Pakistan by showing interest in JF-17. So, its the time to separate business and ethics, and separate our selves from disputes so that we can take actions on anything we want.

Turkmenistan main arms suppliers are Russia and China, so there is potential for the JF-17 in this non-Nato market.
