No one can deny that internal politics are reflected in external affairs but it would be a denial of reality to suggest that Israeli behaviour has been helpful or that it's actions were those which it's best friends would have advised.
In 67, the Shah of Iran was on his throne and he owed that to the US and he was opposed to the kinds of politics the Palestinian and the Egyptians were about - In the 60's and even inthe early 70's Israeli position was "reasonable" - but with settlers and such a lot changed, "reason" was no longer seperated from the inclusion of God in Politics in Israel - then Lebanon and Syria.
Anyway, lets get back to Turkiye and NATO
