Any UGV, whıch dont have internal navigation, path finding, way back algorithm; is dangerous to operate under high gps and radio jamming modern warfare.
And nobody thinks about roll over. One of the earliest prototype of USA had symetrical design so even its rolled over, continue operation.(ı dont remember now)
A lot of Turkish companies claim to make "UNMANNED" platform but actually they are useless in real conflict.
Up to now only Anka has good design to operated under gps jamming. Thats real others fake.

^^ so true. these unmanned vehichles are just big RC toys nothing more. They don't have autopilot they dont operate independently. these vehichles must be more advanced than drones like being commaned by voice when commander in field orders it to go by saying just ''go'' and follow the team autonomously without being controlled by a joystick and operator

to accomplish this goals there should be several subsystems like voice/face recognation, autopilot, situation awareness, signature awareness, deep learning, adaptive cruise control, AI, LIDAR etc.


but that Alkar r4 looks like an advanced stuff. I can recognize 360 degree camera system under the remote weapon station. but still LIDAR is a must for unmanned ground vehichles as they won't operate on newly build highway with no imperfection

you guys talk as if it is so easy with voice commands and coming home..

the cellphone in our pockets are easy and simple with their voice commands..

siri do this alexa buy this ok google how is the temperature..

this are commands that you can convert into text with voice recognition, now you have a text look for keywords like temperature or like "get" then you can get the temperature for istanbul because you have a connection from istanbul to the internet.. thats not KI we are far away from ki, its getting better but really we are far away..

for something that flys in the air coming home is easier because of scanning of the terrain (thats really advanced).. in case of a simple drone with gps and some sensors not to collide with the ground or to a building its easier because there are no stones no roads no children no dogs nothing that is an obstacle on its route..

but for something on the ground.. you have to see the reality.. you must be aware of where you are.. maybe you must make that camera image into 3d and objects you must see and know that a curbstone is not easy to go down or up or that you cant drive where water is or a too stony area..
how will you understand that the troops in the second building are your friends.. how will the algorithm understand wich building you want to attack.. its not as easy as some ppl think..

thats why I would do it different..

with algorithms you can detect ppl or movement you can detect a building a window thats enough on the other side you need a human wich decides to attack .. you can make it easy and let it attack automatically after just tipping on the person on the tablet...

or like skripts go this path and than back and shoot while you are moving in this direction.. or go this path and shoot ..

this things wont fight for themselves these are just support vehicles.. if you are struck or to give additional firesupport or to be used as a metall donkeys..

but for PKK and other dogs we can use them to patrol the borders to patrol on our soil there is no problem with that.. but they should have many sonsors on board like microphoes to detect shootings infrared cameras, ultra zoom camera and very cool would be to integrate meteksan retinar ground survielance radar on that things..

Yeah sure they can give us some improvements. But ı am afraid that this unmanned platform madness rescue some irrelevant company from bancruptcy thanks to tubitak and ssm money.
We have limited resources and somebody should plan technology way.
