Aselsan 2o16’da 8 CATS Teslimatı Gerçekleştirecek!

2o16 yılı sonuna kadar 8 adet CATS HD Elektro-Optik [EO/IR] Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi teslimatı gerçekleştirecek Aselsan, 2o17’den itibaren teslimat hızını ayda 3 adede çıkarmayı böylelikle yılda 36 adet CATS teslimatı gerçekleştirmeyi hedefliyor. Buna göre 2o16 yılını sistemi olgunlaştırma ve Seri Üretim Fazı’na hazırlık çalışmaları için planlayan Aselsan, Ocak 2o17’den itibaren ayda en az 3 adet CATS teslimatı yapabilmek için gerekli altyapı hazırlık ve malzeme tedarik/sipariş çalışmalarına şimdiden başlamış durumda.

Halen ellerinde teslimata hazır 3 CATS [Ortak Diyafram Açıklıklı Hedefleme Sistemi]’nin bulunduğuna ve bu yıl içinde teslim edilecek CATS’lerin tamamını geliştirme fazı ürünü olarak değerlendireceklerine dikkat çeken Aselsan yetkilisi bunlardan 3’ünün TAI’ye teslim edileceğini açıkladı. Daha önce 1 CATS HD EO/IR Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi’nin Sistem Entegrasyon Laboratuvarı [SEL/SIL]’nda kullanılmak üzere TAI’ye teslim edildiğini, Ekim-Aralık 2o16’da ise ilave 2 CATS’nin Anka-S İHA’nda kullanılmak üzere yine TAI’ye teslim edileceğini vurgulayan Aselsan yetkilisi geriye kalan 5 CATS HD EO/IR Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi’nden 2’sinin Baykar Makina ürünü BAYRAKTAR TB2 Silahlı İHA [TB2-S]’na takılacağını diğer 3’ünün ise EGM’ne teslim edileceğini kaydetti. Temmuz ayı başlarında CATS’in BAYRAKTAR TB2-S İHA’na entegre edilerek uçuş testinin yapılması planlanmıştır. Entegrasyon kapsamında ufak bir modifikasyon çalışması yapılması gerektiğine dikkat çeken Aselsan yetkilisi “Onunla ilgili çalışmalarımız hızla gidiyor” dedi. EGM Helikopter Daire Başkanlığının da katkılarıyla bir Bell 429 Helikopterine CATS HD EO/IR Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi’nin entegre edildiğini ve Ankara, Gölbaşı’nda başarılı üç uçuş gerçekleştirildiğini anımsatan şirket yetkilisi EGM’nün talep ettiği iyileştirmeleri gerçekleştirdiklerini ve halihazırda ayda bir kez uçuş testi yaptıklarını ve 2o16 yılı sonuna kadar geliştirme faaliyetlerine devam edeceklerini anlattı. EGM Havacılık Daire Başkanlığı için TAI’den tedarik edilecek Anka Blok-B Operatif İHA’ları da yine CATS HD EO/IR Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi kullanılacaktır.

Sistemin daha da olgunlaşması için çaba harcadıklarını aktaran şirket yetkilisi ayrıca Vestel Savunma ile birlikte çalıştıklarını, halihazırda KARAYEL Taktik İHA’ya CATS entegre edilmemiş olsa da arayüzleri aynı duruma getirmek üzere çalışmalar yaptıklarını belirtti.

CATS EO/IR Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi için yurt dışından da önemli bir talep bulunduğuna dikkat çeken Aselsan yetkilisi bir sorumuza cevaben ortak optik ve ortak pencere yapısının kullanımı sayesinde belli bir hafiflemenin sağlandığı cihazın toplam ağırlığının halihazırda Lazer Hedef İşaretleyici [Laser Designator] ile birlikte yaklaşık 57kg olduğunu kaydetti.

3-5 mikron bandında çalışan çoklu algılayıcıya sahip CATS üzerinde; 1.92ox1.o8o çözünürlüğe sahip renkli gündüz kamerası, 64ox512 piksel dedektöre sahip yüksek çözünürlüklü 3’üncü nesil IR kamera ve 65ox48o piksel çözünürlüğe sahip çok dar bakış açılı düşük ışık kamerası için tek bir optik sensör yer almaktadır. Dahili Ataletsel Ölçüm Birimi [IMU]’ne sahip olan CATS’nde ayrıca Lazer Mesafe Bulucu ve Hedef İşaretleyici ile Lazer Aydınlatma Birimi ve Lazer Noktalama Birimi de yer almakta. CATS Elektro-Optik Keşif, Gözetleme ve Hedefleme Sistemi’nde AselPOD’da olduğu gibi Diyot Pompalı Lazer Mesafe Bulucu ve Hedef İşaretleyici kullanıldığı için AselFLIR-300T’nin aksine 20.oooft’in [azami 25.oooft] üzerindeki irtifalarda da hassas hedef işaretlemesi yapılabilecek. Gimbal çapı 38o-4oomm [15-16 inç] olarak verilen CATS, sabit ve döner kanatlı hava platformlarına ilave olarak deniz platformlarında da kullanılabilecek şekilde tasarlanmıştır. CATS’nin aynı zamanda uzun yıllardır hizmette olan ve artık bakım ve tutum faaliyetleri zorlaşan emektar AselFLIR-200’ün de yerini alması bekleniyor.

It will be a first step that can be really important for our whole country so the government should consider that. Even smallest steps in developing technologies in Turkey can be in our future favor as technologies of every kind will be important in future and those who lose the technological battle will lose all.
South Korea started it's development by some really small steps and with a big government involvement in developing their first corporations a lot whom are now world giants in many fields of economy- Samsung, Hyundai, LG, Kia, Daewoo that produce everything from watches, to telephones, cars and ships etc. Even with buying foreign licenses we should try to produce everything and we should start to try to be 100% self sufficient on every field possible, develop all our technologies even those in agriculture we should try to create our own big corporations who become bigger brand on world stage. Only that way our country will be strong and powerful.

Can you guys tell me what you think about the tech development in Turkey. At least at military field we are trying to do that but at what other fields we try to develop technologies?

Now MAM-L can hit targets 8,5KM away when it is released from 13k ft. I think it is pretty enough.But something like kamikaze drone might be good.It has something like 12KM range itself.

Bayraktar UAV completes 4,000 hours of flight

The "Bayraktar," TB2 Turkish-engineered tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) successfully completed 4,000 hours of flight.

In April, the Bayraktar, manufactured in collaboration with Kale-Baykar, shot an MAM-L smart ammunition projectile armed with a warhead for the first time during a test. The ammunition, fired from the UAV on a shooting range near Konya, was developed by ROKETSAN and managed a direct hit to its target. The Bayraktar was fired during a test for the first time last December but without a warhead attached.

In ongoing tests, the drones are expected to carry additional ammunition. Each round of ammunition, the MAM-L and MAM-C, developed by Roketsan for the drone platforms, weighs 22.5 kilograms. The guided ammo with the warhead, weighing 10 kilograms, can hit a target up to 8 kilometers away. In the wake of the DAESH missile attacks in Kilis in Turkey's south, Turkey ordered Predator armed drones from the U.S. Now, with the advancements made in the Bayraktar drones, they are expected to be used as an armed UAV platform in the region.

The colour cameras that are used in Aselsans E/O gimbals are not indigenous, and for good reason. It would take decades to develop CCD or CMOS sensors that are up to the same standards as Sony.
So Aselsan purchases modules or they buy the sensors and make the modules themselves. Aselsan isn't the only company that does this forinstance USA's FLIR company purchases sensors from Sony and integrates them into their gimbals and same as Israel's ELBIT.

I believe Aselsan uses Sony ExView HAD CCD II sensor on CATS.

This is logical. If there is an open source for you, you better go for it. That makes you to save your time. As we know that, time is very important.

Indeed, for sensitive applications there are studies to develop sensors, mirrors and optics for Spy Sattelites.
