ZPT-556 is reported to be in a local only competition for Turkish Police. There’re 3 other local firms in the competition for about 7000 rifles.

The critic number of shoots which causes barrel to overheat is 300 for RPK gun (long burrel AK-47- high capacity mag.) AKA econom machine gun.
RPK was produced to reach this number of fire.
Zigana underlining rate of fire 837 shoots, are they confident burrel not to be melted?
They should have emphasised how the gun was reliable.

Again cheap recklessness from ignorence specialists.
Producing an assault rifle is enough to take pride. Why telling bullshits and spoiling succes?
İf they didnt exagerate and tell stories, i would be proud of them.
For me even copying Ar-15 platform and producing an assault rifle is great success.
Why do our products have to be number one,best,immaculate and unprecetented?

not for me, and even if you have an insane rate of fire, you couldn't sustain it because nobody hangs around with 100 STANAG magazines. It's irrelevant.

Tisaş engineers are quite frankly wasting our time here.

Satek AR-GE, the company working on designing domestic versions of Gatling, has different versions of the product ranging from 7,62 to 25 mm calibre. (A 20 mm minigun is used in T129 Atak helicopter)
