There is no one microwave, RF or etc... Those are the names of spectrum of electromagnetic waves. And all of them are the same except frequency. For example those bands are defined like that:

Microwave: 1-300 GHz
RF: 3 KHz-300 GHz

As you can see those are nearly the same. Now jamming:

Lets give our example for microwave. You can jam whole microwave or part of it. Depends on your needs and capabilities. You jam or produce at a frequency bandwith. If you want to jam a narrow bandwith probably you will need a good transmitter technology. Jamming or sending signals at 30 MHz bandwith is easy. (Like frequencies 200-230 MHz) But if you want to produce a 10 Hz bandwith at those high frequency it is a harder technology. (Like 200.000.000 - 200.000.010 Hz)

For example:

Case 1: You can to jam all communication between frequencies 1-300 GHz. You will need a lot of diffirent transmitters because generally with this wide bandwith you produce electromagnetic waves with diffirent tecniques. Wider the bandwith is, it is more expensive, will need diffirent tecnologies, will be harder to mobilise etc...

Case 2: You have one antenna and you want to jam FM radio. You will need one transmitter with frequencies between 80-110 Mhz. (approximately) This is cheap and easy.

Case 3: You want to block more than one frequency but not the ones you use. This is complicated and generally harder to archive, very specific and more expensive. In this case your radios work at 200-220 MHz, your radar works at 10-12 Ghz. You will need case 1 materials but you have to jam diffirent parts, you have to allow diffirent bandwiths. This results with a lot of transmitters, a lot of hardware and software control etc. This gets harder and musch more expensive if you increase numbers of allowed bandwiths with very diffirent frequencies. At this case you can block many frequencies but your equipment will continue to work.

I know in practice you do not block all 1-300 GHz, or diffirent things happen. But I wanted to inform a little bit as an entry level knowlage.

So; guys please consider that if you see microwave, know thhat GSM bands, LAN, sattelite communication, radars, far infrared band, microwave ovens, even masers etc. included. And many of them requires diffirent tecnologies to produce and recieve.

You guys are overthinking it, just get one of Aselsan's directed HPEM and fry electronics.. simplez

If you use high output EM devices you will fry your own equipment too. Also they have short range, one of the most important part of jamming is range.

In theory you can use high output EM devices or high altitude nukes to fry every electronics in long range but I do not think it is feasable to do that and fry every electronic equipment(military/civillian) just to block communication of some individuals. :D

note the word 'directed', also Aselsan said their HPEM can target devices up to 50-100 meters away.. more than enough for drones..

From national radar conference;

- GaN production is gonna start in the next a couple months.

- Çafrad phase 1 Aesa radar delivery is expected to be in 2017. And serial production is gonna in 2021. (Tf2000 might be coming in 2021? Idk)

- Radar of Tfx expected to be ready in 2021.

- Göktürk 3 (Sar radar) satellite is gonna be completed in 2022.

- Unnamed US company bought Turkish t/r modules recently.

- Aselsan is negotiating with Unnamed US company about licence tranfer and selling unspecified products which the company was previously buying from another Israeli company.
