However, Vladimir Mikheev, an advisor to the first deputy CEO of KRET — the largest radio-electronic holding and top manufacturer of electronic warfare equipment in Russia – remained skeptical about Koral’s ability to defeat S-400.

"Koral is a ground-based EW system, and in order to effectively counter surface-to-air missiles, especially the kind of missiles that the S-400 uses – missiles that are specifically designed to withstand enemy electronic countermeasures – you need air-based EW systems," Mikheev told media. "You need the analogues of our Rychag or Khibiny systems, and Turkey has nothing of that kind. Obviously, the US has such systems, but it doesn’t export that kind of equipment even to its NATO allies."

Mikheev also remarked that it would be imprudent to underestimate the Turkish EW equipment designers, though much of the Koral’s capabilities remain unknown as it was only presented to the public this year.

That was discussed already, you must consider horizon and earth curve on land based systems limitations.
rocket artillary system does not care earth system its capability 100km range,whether earth is curve or flat,its range only effected by sea levels

He's right except where he says it's a radar jammer/deception system. It's not just for radar, it's for many types of electronic signals including communications and GPS, for example. Also, Russians aren't just using dumb bombs or laser bombs in Syria, they're also firing cruise missiles. Also, even if they're dropping dumb bombs, it might be possible to make them drop them in the wrong place by making the jet think its in somewhere it isn't. GPS/GLONASS signals are within the operating band of Koral. I don't think this actually happened but theoretically it's possible.

Are these the projects which were decided in the latest SSIK assembly worth 5,9 billion $ ?

Its been said that the projects that were talked and decided will not be unveiled.. Any confirmation? And what is the reason?

ASELSAN Radar Electronic Support Measure System for Submarine Platforms ARES-2SC/NS

ARES-2SC Submarine Radar ESM System designed to improve the electronic support capability of submarine platforms by using modern and ASELSAN technologies. First, the System has been integrated to AY Class (type 209) Submarine platforms and is baseline for ARES-2NS New Type Submarine platforms (Type 214) Radar ESM Systems.

ARES-2SC Submarine Radar ESM System improved by the field experience of ASELSAN’s naval Radar ESM Systems and (ARES-2) family of ASELSAN Radar ESM System for submarines.

ARES-2SC fulfills main functions such as detecting, tracking, analysing, diagnosing, displaying in proper format and automatic or intentional recording/replaying the emissions from radars operating at a frequency range of mainly 2-18 GHz, including LPI radars. The System indicates the frequencies and parameters as well as bearings of the radar emissions within the 360° azimuth coverage, accurately and in near-real time, on a continuous basis.

With the pressure tight compact antenna structures, high-tech wideband digital microwave receiver and sophisticated design whereby ARES-2SC performs the ES mission reliable and successfully in a short reaction time.

Cafrad preleminary design and Critical design stages have been successfully completed. Design of all components have been completed and work of prototyping is progressing. In 2016 work of integration of different prototype sections and design correction studies will be undertaken.

Bro i read somewhere that those Gan made radars suck and thats why the Americans dont use them,what you say?
