As far as I know, Turkish communists are anti-imperialists; but, Turkish leftists are not entirely so. But still, Turkish leftists are more anti-imperialist than Turkish Islamist liberals.

I remember reading about one historical event in which Turkish leftists threw some US soldiers into the sea in the 70s. Their action was heavily criticized by the Islamists and liberals at the time.

Remember, the father of Turkish economic liberalism in the 1980s was also an ardent supporter of US imperialism during the first Gulf War. He became your President later (forgot the name). He was also an Islamist, belonging one of the Sunni sects.

So, if you claim to be anti-Imperialist, never position yourself to centrist-liberal, market-place Islamists.
Mostly true.

Islamist PMs Menderes and Özal both were pro American.

15 July failed coup attempted by american backed islamist Gülen teror organization.

And yes.. Islamist groups were performing prayer towards American 6th fleet anchored on the Bosphorus while leftists and pro-Atatürk nationalists were protesting .

How did you draw that result? American imperialism tried to topple Erdoğan in july 15th 2016, not leftists. As i know china was transformed from pure communism to market-place soft communism. Where is the wrong here for Turkish islamists. Anyway you couldn't understand Turkish political dynamics well, you should study it hard.

In their relations with developing/under-developed countries, the US likes to take individuals to cooperate with, rather than the entire establishment. This does not, however, mean that, having used them, the US would not later throw them under the bus.

Erdogan could be one of them. When you remind us July 15th, you conveniently ignore the previous 15 years that Erdogan had been in power at that time. How did he came to power? Who did he talk to during and after his imprisonment? How did the entire mainstream media created an air of governance crisis in Turkey and scared people to vote for the new AKP in the early 2000s?

As for July 16th coup attempt, it was one of the most unprofessional coup attempt I have ever seen.

I have studied previous coups in Turkey. This last one, however, does not fit the general structure of a coup. You want to see a real coup attempt actively supported by the US? I suggest you to check the 2002 coup d'etat against Hugo Chavez.

China has never completely adopted a foreign ideology, but, constantly transformed them according to national needs. Even Buddhism, once it landed in China, was entirely transformed. Being the Middle Kingdom with 3000 years of history as a continuous state within more or less same borders, China has immense experience. Today's model cannot be named, as well, it is just the China Model. Known experiences, such as Marxism/Socialism, can give an idea, but cannot explain it entirely. That's why everyone has their opinion of China's system.

What is wrong with Turkish Islamists is mainly, in my opinion, their economic-political character. Politically, they are conservative but economically, they are liberal.

This makes Islamist parties all over the world a practical ally of the US; because the US also politically conservative, economically liberal.

That's the major contradiction, indeed.

Islamist groups do not have a clear political agenda as they are unable to draft a vision of the society they want to build on modern norms.

What they dream as an ideal society is mostly archaic, hence, does not fit the present reality. Then, clashes happen between current technology and progress and fossilized ideas of ideal political system.

However, what has never changed in Islamist politics is their neo-liberal economic DNA. This makes Islamist politic quite opportunistic.

During WW2 american army trained your soldiers. And then you started to make your own agande. (This is normal for me) What is the wrong here man? You were also pragmatist. Pragmatism is the root of the life. But we always respect the human rights while defending our motherland. Before the july 15 we were in a transition era, because our country was inflitrated by some western proxies. Now we successed to clearing our national system.(On going). Again i am saying that we are seeing (also Erdogan ) China, Russia, Iran and Venezula as a friend country to making collabaration against Western imperialism. Why you assulting Erdoğan's Turkey. Only possible ally for china in Turkey is Erdogan.

Hopefully you will succeed. Hopefully, government positions cleaned from one (once friendly) religious sect will not be taken over by another "friendly" religious sect. I hear from colleagues that some (rival) religious sects have already taken over certain ministries, such as health and education.

I also hear there is a huge war among sunni religious sects to eventually take over the foreign ministry and military.

This is very dangerous for your future. Remember, the religious sect you now try to purge from the state was once a close ally and friend of your President.

Islamic political history is filled with such infighting. Rival sects will fight to the teeth to take over the state power. This is in their DNA. Especially when they are unable to go out and take over foreign lands in holy Jihad.

Islamists can be more ruthless toward each other than toward infidels. In fact, you experienced it during the coup attempt: They were ruthless against your soldiers and civilians.

So, hopefully, Turkey will retain and return to its secular, Kemalist anti-imperialist roots of 1920s and 30s.

Definitely, my friend. In fact, last week, China (along with Russia) vetoed a US-led (UK-France backed) UNSC Resolution against the Venezuelan people and their government. On this question, China, Russia and many other states, along with Turkey, share the same objectives. That's great.

I wish Turkey was holding the same anti-imperialist line in Syria. I remember Turkish government criticized China when China vetoed US-backed UNSC Resolution against the Syrian people. Hopefully, lessons learned.

I think China does not feel much difference between governments in Turkey. It is so far away and there is zero strategic relationship between the two. So, there is no reason to insult Erdogan, to love or hate him.

I criticize him due to his religious-sectarian policies and anti-secular ideology, and especially his contempt for Turkey's revolutionary leaders such as Ataturk and Inonu.

Ozal and Menderes were not islamist. They were still very more adherent to Ataturk's ideas than Milli Gorus or even Erdogan now.

Maybe Ozal, but Menderes and Bayar adored Ataturk and Ataturk in return was very close to them. They split from CHP because they were not happy with Inonu's economic policy during the 40's.
