I would say Erdogan played it like a genius. First he used Gulen to take on traitors in the TSK and then he went against Gulen then others went bed with Gulen like CHP until coup attempt.
Before gulen came on the scene, TSK was a secularist militia and so to clean TSK was necessary

Are you aware that the "secularist militia" that Gulenists arrested by fraud and deception are announced innocent? They are free now, and many even returned to their military service. Do you know how much they suffered? How many of them died in the prison cells they were wrongfully put in?

Cant blame you. AKP prefers not to talk too much about this. And your knowlodge of Turkey purely comes out of AKP propaganda. Imbecile.

Before Gulen came to the scene there were right extremists that are still in MHP. Then the concept changed and political Islam came. Do you think Erdogan came to power just like that? They used political Islam together with FETO like organizations to create a new conflict. After the USSR perished a need for new concept had to come. From
Left-Right it turned to Islamist-Secularist. Where on the world a situation like that is seen? To call the Chief of General Staff as terrorist leader. Shame. 15 July coup was a critical turning point. 15 July was the beginning of a new phase. 15 July was the point when the state said enough to the outside factors and their puppets like FETO, PKK. Not Erdogan trapped FETO. The state trapped everyone. I am saying again. If you want Shariah so much you are free to come and start to work for it in Turkey. I am sure that appropriate measures will be taken by the highest authority.

i respect kartal1 civilised response though i disagree with him.

as for you my friend i don't know why you have Islamic on your avatar whereas your'e the total opposite. Also why are you complaining to Cabatli? this is a political thread isnt it? What fake account you talking about? did i claim to be someone im not?

As for Erdogan Bashing you guys will realise once he's gone because next Islamist who will come to power will make sure to undo all the social engineering you fellas went thru.

As for TSK. it is national institution who serves the Nation and follows the orders of the President. TSK will be never be allowed to become a tool or militia of any one group ever again. Anything wrong that i said?

Dont even have the face and honour to accept your stupidity right? Not even surprised. Classical political islamist, full of hatred and ego.

A progressive-minded old friend/classmate of mine from the US shared this below image with me and explained the story behind. I found it very interesting because this election atmosphere seems different from the previous ones due to the unexpectedly powerful campaign by the opposition side.

As most foreign analysts also pointed out before, the AKP chairman has never appeared so weak against its opponents (or, I guess, he calls them "enemies"). That's an interesting phenomenon.

I guess a 15 years of intense anti-ideological propaganda, cultural disintegration attempts, undermining secular institutions and tainting founding figures have only generated a more rigid (but still small) base for the ruling party.

A significant portion of the party base is still fluid and can shift their votes.

This, however, may be the last chance for progressive masses in Turkey, because, a new generation exclusively educated by the ruling party is coming of age.

I hear that Pres Elections will most likely end up in 2nd round and that AKP will receive a plurality in the parliament?

It all depends on if HDP will pass the threshold. But polls are not worth shit in Turkey since all of them have proved to be shit and people are afraid of speaking the truth too.

Very rich statement coming from a pro-CPC Chinese. Just want you to know that CHP is more pro Western than AKP ever was. In other words, this is bad news for China's long-term interests in Turkey....
