What?! I didn't say anything, YOU said about the vehicles.....
Also that has nothing got to do with that. What other members have been saying that our politicians have way more luxury cars than any other developed country; this was said AFTER you claiming Ecevits government would not have been able to afford it....
You can't even criticise the government even on a minor thing that is absolutely clear.
Why don't you give numbers rather than saying we have more.
And the discussion starts fom the car of the head of religios matters. Some people want to target him and blame him for riding a luxury car. They also want to consider him as an ordinary officer while the majority of the population wants to see that post as a seat of a higher esteem. With a higher influence at home and abroad. Which also represents the power of Turkey.
I don't critize the govt about this matter because I think it is OK, and there is no problem. And the numbers of vehicles in general owned by govt is already under scrutiny by the Prime Ministers office. Govt in general can be considered to be thrifty already. The expenditures generally thought to extravagant are not really etravagant when the many years of negligence is considered. It is merely catching up with the kind of vision they have for the country. Which is far beyond how things looked just a decade ago.
