Turkish player released by German Club due to his support for Turkey operation

When will people understand that no matter what they think or feel, they should respect the law of the land?
Please clarify the law broken by the player. The club itself didn't claim a law was broken, rather that it was a tweet contrary to the club's anti-war ethos. Fair enough, as long as they are consistent with their company policy, and accordingly interpret other such actions by supporters of other countries' security measures as support for acts of "war". Somehow I doubt such consistency will apply.

So players are not free to say whatever they want?? So much for teaching others feeedom of speech.

The Turkish midfielder Cenk Sahin has been released by St Pauli following an Instagram post in support of his country’s invasion of Kurdish-held regions in northern Syria.

The German club said on Monday: “Sahin has been released from his training and playing duties with immediate effect. The prime factors in reaching the decisions were his repeated disregard for the club’s values and the need to protect the player.”

Sahin on Friday posted on Instagram: “We’re on the side of our heroic military and armies. Our prayers are with you!”

It led to calls from St Pauli fans for the player to be sacked, and messages of support for the Kurds. The Hamburg-based club said an internal review had been conducted as well as talks between club officials and the player.

“After numerous discussions with fans, members and friends whose roots lie in Turkey, it has become clear to us that we cannot and should not attempt to gauge nuances in perceptions and attitudes from other cultural backgrounds in detail,” St Pauli said. “That we reject acts of war is not open to doubt or discussion, however. These acts, and the expression of solidarity with them, run counter to the values of the club.”

Sahin’s contract will remain valid but St Pauli has given him permission to train and play for other clubs. Sahin, who joined from Istanbul Basaksehir in 2016, is reportedly back in Turkey. Any switch could not be completed until the winter transfer window.

He is mixing politics with sports, mainstream of western is against Turkey invasion of Syria, no surprise he got sacked

Anyway, the Turks used to be exposed to all kinds of racism in Germany.

German racists have wounded thousands of Turks to this day. They burned and killed the Turks. They extorted their homes and businesses. And most of these events have still not been elucidated by the German justice system. Racism runs through their veins, still.

If German are racists, why millions of Turks chose to immigrate there? You guys allied with Germans in World war I, right?

Aside from the fact that he's actually supporting a barbaric act it's stupid to openly support something in a country while working and receiving benefits there, while the said country is against the very action. Right decision from the team to sack him.

Do you still say so if the case happens in China?

Context matters.

If I as an Indian, work in China, earn my living there, claim benefits provided by government. And go out and shout that China is evil, they are oppressors. I won't be wrong but I'll be a hypocrite and if they jail me or sack me and kick me out of the country I'll have brought that upon myself.

But same doesn't apply to a local because they are entitled to all that government provides but that doesn't mean the government can oppress them, so they have every right to protest, like in Hong Kong.

If this sportsperson wants to support Turkey's barbaric act. He can't do so while living in a country that is against it. They don't want him to stop expressing himself, they just don't want him to do it at their dime.

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.. I hold that, the more helpless a creature, the more entitled it is to protection by man from the cruelty of man"~ Mahatma Gandhi. Your nation is a BIG disgrace to your great leader!!! You rank as primitive BARBARIANS in the world of today.

West is so secular and freedom of speech is unmatched

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Wiemar Republic is back in Germany, well it never left since May 1945. Germany's flag is Wiemar. And to scare everybody to supporting the German occupation by zionists and zionist jews, they regurgitate Hitler will come back unless they support neo-liberalism.

The last German leader was Kaiser Wilhelm II. The Wiemar leaders were traitors and the globalist Germans are traitors. The jew Hitler was a traitor to Germany. Since 1918, Germany has been 'led' by inept traitors.

Here is a real German speaking:

“Let me assure the Sultan and his 300 million Muslims… that the German Emperor will ever be their friend.”
Wilhelm II, German Kaiser

Long live the Second Reich!

Right.

Pakistan’s parliament has shot down a minority Christian member’s constitutional amendment bill seeking to allow non-Muslims to become Prime Minister and President of Pakistan.

Pakistan is such a dream place to be. Other countries are such a disgrace.
