Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

.
well you said we always supported a unified Iraq, and Tayyip is a great supporter of barzani.
Erdogan thought that by supporting Barzani,he could make him economicly and military dependent on Turkiye so that he could avoid Kurdish independence in Iraq and in the beginning that was the case(officially) but with support from the US for the YPG in Syria,Barzani with the fear of losing control to the YPG/PKK had to go for independence,Barzani is not as strong as he was before,he will probably lose his control over the KRG,see it as a political move from his side, not that it will make any difference but he does what he can.
Eventually he will lose control over the KRG to YPG/PKK and they will get their independence as long as the US and Israel support them with political support and military equipment.
My opinion is that they already made a deal with Abadi about this issue, the Kurds get the North, you keep the south and the Sunnis get the Middle.
Big mistakes have been made by our side and its to late to correct it.
We will just have to wait and see what the future brings.
The good out of all of this is that the PKK will have territory and in case of trouble,we could bomb the hell out of their lands.

no you cannot because of the US building bases and placing some units

U can take more of an agressive route agains thtem but mr erdogan doesnt have the balls for that.
And meanwhile idiots are cheering that we killed one dead PKK scum, and think our government is doing a great job. But the truth is that we have one of the most incapable governments in decades. Our politicians are only interested in their own wellbeing. The Turkish nations interests come on the last place. Thats why we keep having ridicules feuds with every country on earth, this is to keep attention from the real problems. This however leads to a vicious circle, where countries don't trust Turkiye anymore and instead look for a new ally in the Middle-East (the YPG).

Erdogan for example failed the US a long time ago, when he promised that the US could invade Iraq trough Turkish territory. The US made measures in Turkey to make this invasion possible. However, next thing you know, the parlement did not agree and we backstabbed the US by breaking a big promise. Since that moment, the US looked for more trustworthy allies in the Middle-East. What we should have done then, was to invade Iraq side by side the US and try to incorporate Northern Iraq in Turkish territory. In a couple of years, Barzani will backstab is also, and has our government literary lost every gamble they took.

I dont know about that but i know that the US is heavily supporting the kurds since the 80´s and i mean all their branches and political affiliations.
In the beginning, the US had nothing to win from a weakened Turkey. Since we where a buffer with the Sovjet-Union. So the US had no motive at all to support the Kurds in the 80s, the SU however had

Ur thinking is to simplistic the way u write is like americans justiying why they support the PKK.
In the beginning, the US had nothing to win from a weakened Turkey.
They however had something to win from a weakend iraq. And in order to weaken iraq they used all branches of the kurds. They did that in both wars by the way.
Since we where a buffer with the Sovjet-Union.
The soviets were already weakend and busy keeping their union together. I know they supported the PKK but to what extend i dont know.s
So the US had no motive at all to support the Kurds in the 80s
again iraq

The Sovjets also feared during that time that a strong Turkey could influence the calls for independence of the majority Turkic areas in the SU. By weakening Turkey, they could increase their influence in central Asia and try to prevent them losing control of those areas to Turkey. Don't forget that the reason why Turkey joined nato is because the sovjet-union numerous times threatened to invade Turkey. They wanted to incorporate the whole eastern part of Turkey into Armenia ( and thus the SU) for example.

Naive way of thinking : The day Soviet Union fell Turkiye lost its importance in US's eyes. From that very moment Americans start to run their Kurdistan project and we stopped being American ally. Also Tayyip Erdoğan tried to pass that Iraqi resolution twice right after he get out of jail and became ruler of AKP.My guess is passing that resolution was his(or Fethullah) promise to US.It was Kemalist , Nationalist and Communist factions were the ones stopped that resolution. It was exact opposite of you said in fact half of AKP MPs sacked during transition to second term and guess what? That resolution did not pass because half of AKP MPs gave NO vote during resolution voting along with almost all oppositon MPs.

No one could have saved US-TR relationship from that point(fall of USSR) American establesment itself decided to cut ties with us(slowly) and create Kurdistan.

They literally just admitted that the SDF is US project to occupy syrian land and create a puppet state. He even says "they do anything we tell them to" and Assad still wants to work with these pets of the US.

.
He will work with anyone who has no demands for him to leave Syria even if that means that a huge part of the country to not even be under his rule.
