For all we know that operation might never start, l just hope that l'm wrong.

Should we involve in Idlib? What do you guys know about Ahrar?

Afrin area is basically begging to be invaded by us right now, the opportunity is right there and Russia and Assad both left the YPG for us to destroy. But I don't get why we are waiting. We said it's gonna start now, it didn't, said it again, it didn't, so on and so forth. We are just bombing them but no follow ups. You can bomb them all you want but if you don't follow up you're not gonna gain anything because they will recover.

Don't you get it? Turkey already understands that FSA can't handle this operation and putting Turkish soldiers into risk will only anger the Turkish public so thus we are playing the bad cop role by saying we will make an operation there but in reality we are once again waiting for Russia & Regime to fill that gap.

At best we will go for Tel-Rıfat and Menagh operation but Afrin, in my opinion, won't happen it's the same with Menbij all talk but no action.

Seems like it. Unless turkey is putting its time into training the FSA. There was some news surfaced about this not that long ago. Learning from ES mistakes?

Ahrar al-Sham is a Salafi group...which teamed up with FSA and fighting against HTC (former Nusra) and Free Idlib Army (FSA) sided with HTC....cluster fvck, we shouldn't get involve, at least at the early clashes.

Public would understand Afrin, as its a PKK issue. But I also dont support an operation againys entirety of Afrin. Too much unnecessary casualties. After all main aim is making sure they dont have a land connection with eastern kros.

Tell Rifat and Menagh would be enough but I'm also thinking of taking border towns in West and North, filling them Arab/Turkmen refugees so we have some kind of barrier there.

There is a River, which divides Afrin area into two pieces.

The only necessery areas for us, green parts. Let Assad get red parts (east of the river) and we get west of the river. Assad and Russia are clearly oppose of connectiong ES and Idlib. So lets agree with them. We won't lose anything. Even lets give Assad Tal-Rifat and Minagh airbase, very strategic airbase. Let SAA control east of Afrin town which divided by river.

We could do this easily with diplomacy, but somehow we dont. Our diplomacy acts like headless chicken, which is so stupid. We need to secure our BORDERS, that is the only priority.

There is a possibility of YPG marching south through Idlib when the SAA operation towards Idlib starts. They want to get close to sea.

That's not true. All Salafi members left Ahrar for HTC long time ago because of political differences. Ahrar has an Islamic worldview but they are mainly Syrian nationalists.

Hopefully, it's hard to track whom is who, whom defected who, whom merged with who, etc...
