What's the problem? Before the operation started, Turkey had urged the US many times to clear YPG from that area. The US refused to do this and Turkey started its military operation. The US has now basically taken a step back. The sanction threats is only meant not to damage the image of the US as a superpower. World now thinks that Turkey has taken a step back because of the sanction threats while this is not the case. Turkey can now take control of the entire area and start building infrastructure and housing, etc. to safely send the refugees to those areas. In addition, if the YPG does not cooperate with the demands imposed on them by the US, then Turkey will undoubtedly destroy them with full power. This will therefore be supported by the West as a legitimate action.
