Erdogan just said they will stop after taking haseke and ayn el Arab. That’s means we still share border with ypg elements which means they will continue firing rockets any mortars on Turkish towns.

So yes we need our own Iron-Dome.

Their rockets will be unable to reach Turkish cities. Also, I think the final plan is to push towards the Euphrates, but they will take a break at 30-35 km depth and build a new case for pushing further.

How will it affect Turkish military intervention now when US leaves syria. If PKK makes a deal with Assad/Russia? Erdogan said we will not stop until we have finished our goals, what can PKK gain from an deal with Assad/Russia if Turkey have made clear that they are not gonna stop. Can we now be in close combat with the russians instead.

The Turks need to make the swiftest of advances to the Euphrates, before the Assadists and Russians start rolling in, which will be very soon. They can leave specialists to mop up the towns but they need to move fast. Another option is to halt any Assad advances with airstrikes around any convoy movement just like they did in the last operation. The Turks have risked a lot for this operation, so for Assad to reap the benefits will be very bad. Having Assad in the area is not so bad but if PKK made a deal it will mean keeping some areas like near those near Aleppo, which they will use to continue to make attacks into Turkish held areas.

Erdogan is just sending misinformation so that Kurds think they will still have a state, and not make a deal with Assad. If the Kurds think they will lose everything they would rather hand it all over than let the Turks get it.

They showed US that they will not back down and they mean business, and they should do the same with Russia. The Turks have nothing to gain from Russia now. America will provide a Veto in the next UNSC. Russia has not been an ally in Syria so far, they have only looked out for their own interests, and when possible have protected the Kurds from the Turks.

So the Turks need to declare their own no fly zone over Syria as soon as possible.

We are there to decimate the PKK and return of refugees. If assad dares to do anything stupid with regards to PKK, his forces will also be decimated.
