This is an article written by a former "Turkish Adviser" in Afganistan, his articles are very good you can check them out.

That's not surprising. Al Monitor has a long track record of publishing anti-Turkish articles with a ton a disinformation. Their readership has a quick reflex for Turkey-bashing.
I wouldn't say this particular article was anti-Turkish, but the comments, my god, they just attack from all angles. Have a look.

Ok thats a part of a fascist so discussion

"AKP will gain credibility for failing and getting pimp slapped for their sabre rattling, leaving the fascist CHP and MHP to look like impotent doves. Ultra-nationalist Turkish voters will rally against the AKP after disaster befalls. It would be such an unbelievable coup for Greek and Greek-Cypriot interests."

Turkish Corvette Sails in the Aegean as Tension is Reported at Imia

A Turkish corvette is escorting a newly-acquired drillship by Turkey for exploratory offshore drilling in the Mediterranean Sea.

The movement of the corvette is being monitored by the Greek navy.

According to reports, it is currently in international waters southeast of Greece’s Peloponnese region, escorting the Drillship Deepsea Metro 2.

Its exact destination is not known, a fact which has raised concern in Cyprus, wary of intrusions to its exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

On Tuesday, drilling ship Saipem 12000 entered the Cypriot EEZ, to start operating in the next few days for Italy’s ENI.

Meanwhile, six Greek fishing boats “wanted to enter Turkish waters” at Imia, said Turkish newspaper Milliyet on Wednesday, speaking of tensions in the sea area.

Specifically, the Turkish newspaper reported that a Greek coast guard boat from the port of Kalymnos, and six Greek fishing boats approached Imia and “wanted to enter Turkish waters”, but Turkish patrols blocked the Greek boats.

According to the Turkish newspaper, the coast guard vessel and the fishing boats, went to an area where eight Turkish boats were fishing in “international waters”.

Milliyet said that the Greek boats approached the Turkish boats at a distance of 100 metres, and were driven away.

I believe we made a good deal.

A state-of-the-art drillship, the Deepsea Metro II, has finally been sold by its creditors due to escalating unpaid debts.

The deal sees the ultra deepwater vessel sold for a mere US$210 million, well below its 2011 price tag that was north of US$860 million.

Vatana millete hayirli olsun. Hadi bakalim rastgele! :)

Also, does anyone know if any Turkish shipyards are capable of building offshore oil platforms? If not we might want to develop this technology in case the East Mediterranean prove to be resourceful.
