We are a "one planet species". Our death is not a matter of if but just when as long we are unable to build such habitats. Massive space stations...ringworlds.

Never before we were so close to achieve this. We currently push for asteroid mining. With this we can get the resources up there to construct something like that.

But so much is wasted for bullshit like vaccines for some bushmen in Timbuktu.

Im surprised you are one of the only few muslim/middle eastern members here who is impartial,rational and doesn't have one preconceived idea about a country/topic. I have seeb you make several rational points on here, and even when I don't share your views about something I still admire the way you articulate/make your points in a reasonable manner. I have seen you make valuable points critical of the shortcomings of backward looking regimes in the middle east from KSA to Iran to Egypt etc without exception unlike many naive middle eastern members who seem to think one side is the Angel while the other is evil(sectarian thinking). If many people in the region were like you I think the middle east will be much more open, peaceful,advanced and prosperous as much as EUROPE,U.S or even East Asia.

Overall, I agree with what you just said, the Muslim world in general views homosexuality as devilish phenomenon that must be stamped out at any cost, in this regard I might actually generalise for once, since I have hardly ever seen anyone from the muslim world(throughout my journeys to many countries from the middle east, Asia to Africa) who doesn't share this view, and those that don't are very rare/insignigicant or just keep silent out of fear of speaking out or face consequences.
