I ve not seen this article before. Also former Defence Minister was talking about ranges of 800 km.

We are talking about MTCR, and This mean we are talking both about range and warheads.

Also, Weight of the warhead directly effects the range of the missile? What are you smoking you cant seperate this two, under no circumstances.

Just stop misinformating everybody, and Just read the official website of MTCR.

Read this part of the agreement very carefully;

Regime places particular focus on rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles capable of delivering a payload of at least 500 kg to a range of at least 300 km and on equipment, software, and technology for such systems.

MTCR is very loose agreement and open to interpretation. And As long as everybody sure you aren't selling to WMD producer long range nuclear capable missile then it is fine (like Pakistan).

Hisar-U: An interceptor to be fired against air breathing threats.. missiles, aircrafts, drones. The range will be around 90-120km. (Barak-8 equivalent)
Siper: A dual stage interceptor to be fired against air breathing threats and ballistic missiles. (David Sling, Derby-MR equivalent in terms of principle)
GUMS: An effective interceptor with anti-ballistic missile defense capability. EuroSAM will be a partner of this program on paper. BTW, It is told that Turkey didn't give a clear sign to fully commit in investing/joining into EuroSAm activity yet. I think Turkey wants a system with GUMS like THAAD or Arrow-3 with atmospheric interception capability. Intention of Aselsan to develop a missile that will perform such a mission, is known for a while but Technical difficulty, risk level of this tech is apparent so Time will tell what will be done !
