Starstreak II has higher engagement ceiling of 7kms with range GREATER than 7kms of the older version. It is relatively lighter at 14kgs. Although Laser guidance has it's pros and cons.

Absolutely! But you have to keep accurately lasing at the target till it hits, which requires skill. On the other hand Sungur is fire and forget. Both are top notch systems tho.

a combination system of both starstreak and a fnf system would be the pinnacle. the darts from starstreak and a fnf guidance system would be overkill.

SSB head Demir unintentionally shared information about the Gökdoğan BVR missile's range.

I think the big implication is that, if the slip was intentional, then Gökdoğan could have a range that's even more than 100 km. Because disclosing that it has a range of 100 km would suggest that there's more in the tank, 100 km is the baseline.

We are going too fast with some failures,we do not have serial production of turbojet families,other than KTJ 3200.An offical of TAI said about problems to get turbojet motor for supersonic şimşek target drone and delaying projects,It is very important to test our many projects,I do not believe to shot down quinetic banshee target drone is sufficient.We test anti ship missiles on statik target ship,we should test it on at least 30 knot.Tubitak sage needs turbojet motor for kuzgun family from abroad but not in touch turkish firm idealab who produce some.We bored wit the cases of prototype is ok but serial is not okey .BMC power produced 1000 hp motor but we decided to get American ones,why they decided to give after ten years,and we do not know even it is ıtar free.Mahmut Akşit-TEI- said core of TS 1400 can be used for different-turboprop- motors but nothing done yet.

Now SOM and ATMACA Cruise Missiles are in service and Turkiye’s dependence on the French-made TR40 engine is over

Turkiye’s first turbojet engine KTJ-3200 entered mass production phase

-- KALE-ARGE develops KTJ-1750 and ARAT turbojet engines for upcoming Cruise Missiles CAKIR and GEZGIN

-- TUBITAK-SAGE RAMJET is coming for GOKHAN long range air to air missile


1000 hp BMC Engine is still under development to be ready in 2024

We will see TS-1400 turboshaft engine on the T-625 Helicopter for flight tests in 2023


All these technologies are not projects that will be finished in a few years.
