- Self propelled capsule for Atmaca and Gezgin cruise missile programs have been under development. Contrary to known capsules used by a few nations having underwater SSM/cruise missile firing capability, Roketsan capsule will navigate miles before releasing the cruise missiles on air to ignite the boosters.
- Launching capability from an helicopter is not a deal as long as helicopter itself is able to carry the missile.
- Could you imagine such a long range anti-ship cruise missile without sea-skimming ? Since the algorithms are written by solely Turkish engineers, The most effective capabilities that foreign missiles couldn't provide cause of export policies, are gained such as making the missile fly as low as possible under 50m above the sea-surface to provide undetectable.

SOM-B1 performs top-attack on target

-Tandem warhead is able to penetrate the ship's hull to explode second explosive in the heart of strategic place. First warhead is a shaped-charged one to enlarge the hull and second one is penetrative to reach the strategic heart.

At that Exocet can fly as low as 7meters aboce the sea.
