I still hope for modern IFV's, the conflicts of the last 30 years proved that they are extremly effective in fighting insurgents.
Their capabilities to carry troops and giving close direct fire support to ground forces with 30/35mm maingun (airburst ammo), maybe ATGM/Cirit/Cida pods and Akkor APS is for sure a force multiplier on the battlefield... imo more required than MBT's.

Qualification of both the tracked and wheeled vehicles(Pars,Kaplan) in the STA project is planned to be completed in this year, with 260 vehicles expected to be delivered in total to the Turkish Land Forces next year.

About time. Hope we see an IFV version of either Kaplan or 6x6/8x8 Pars too. We need new IFVs ASAP. Sick of the countless 4x4 APCs.

Nurol Yörük with 8 ATGM launcher

ED3J2sEWwAAWQZO

It is light and mobile. It can fire a missile, then take a shelter under a tree or behind a house, especially in urban combat. It is very good in that respect. However, how many kgs of TNT can it withstand and can additional cage armor be fitted onto it? Thanks if someone can shed light on it.

I saw reports that Turkish army ordered 100 of these Nurol Makina NMS 4X4 and Qatar ordered 214, so it is obvious that it meets military standards. Anyone knows if it is active in Libya? I saw BMC's Kirpi being operated there but I haven't seen these light vehicles in that conflict.
