Katmerciler, which is acclaimed for its innovative products for Turkish Armed Forces and Security Forces, is also attracting attention abroad. NATO received an offer for HIZIR, the strongest combat tool in the segment of the Turkish defense industry, developed by Katmerciler for the Portuguese Army.

The NATO Support Agency (NSPA) received an offer for the Khidr 4 × 4 vehicle from Katmerciler, which included 167 tactical wheeled armored vehicles launched by the Portuguese Armed Forces in line with their needs. Another company that the agency has received offers is the Spanish UROVESA VAMTAC ST5 vehicle. The bids are expected to be evaluated and finalized by the end of the year.



Katmerciler has recently developed products such as 4 x 4 tactical wheeled armored vehicles Khidr, 4 × 4 armored personnel carrier Khan, composite ceramic armor system Nefer, armored ambulance, multipurpose unmanned land vehicle, hybrid armored vehicle.

Katmerciler's broad product portfolio for the defense industry also includes protection shield, remote controlled armored crawler excavator, armored backhoe loader, remote controlled multi-barrel gas arming system, remote controlled armored combine loader work machine, armored bus, armored damper, armored lowbed trailer, armored water tanker and tanker with armored ADR.

RAPID An armored tactical wheeled vehicle with NATO standards, nine personnel-capped, high ballistic, mine and hand-held explosive protection levels developed by the company at its R & D Center in accordance with operational requirements of security forces in a 4 × 4 configuration.

It is a battle tool designed and developed to show high performance under the intense conflict conditions in rural and urban areas with the highest motor power of the class in Turkish Defense Industry.

It is a versatile, low cost and easy maintenance platform tool for various configurations as command control tool, CBRN tool, weapon carrier vehicle (easy integration of various weapon systems), ambulance vehicle, border security vehicle, reconnaissance vehicle.

DSEI 2017:OTOKAR EXHIBITS ARMA 8X8 ARMOURED VEHICLE WITH UCOK TURRET SYSTEM
Otokar is exhibiting its ARMA 8x8 wheeled armoured vehicle with the UCOK turret system at its stand, N6-158.

Thanks to its superior mobility, high mine and ballistic protection, medium and high caliber weapon system integration options; ARMA is capable to serve modern armies in the real battlefield, peace keeping and human relief operations in most difficult terrain and climatic conditions. ARMA 8x8; is available in various types of configurations such as Personnel Carrier, Infantry Fighting Vehicle, Fire Support Vehicle, Mortar Carrier, Short and Medium Range Air Defence, Mobile Gun Carrier, Command and Control Vehicle with optional amphibious capability. ARMA is suitable for integration of various weapon systems from light machine gun weapon stations up to 25-30mm medium caliber cannon and 105mm cannon.

The UCOK stabilised machine gun platform utilises 12.7mm/7.62mm machine gun or 40mm automatic grenade launcher on the same platform. The weapon station has dual axes independently driven sight which accommodates a thermal camera, a CCD camera and a laser range finder. Independent driven sight allows the aiming reticle stay on the target even the super-elevation and lead angles are given to the weapon for accurate firing.
