Totally Agreed.Your words invoked my thought.
Most people may hate or like countries just from the stereotype built by their own media, like Turks may hate China for "suppressing Uighurs" and Chinese may dislike Turkey for poking nose to our domestic affairs.
It is natural, and I used to be like so, but now I make mind clear ---- my attitudes towards a country should depend on own heart, not the opinions of others.
Now I myself appreciate any country having guts to defend their national interest.
Of course Turkey has guts to defend their national interest ---- annexation of NE Syria, expand their influence in Libya, so Turkey won my appreciation.
If Egypt have guts to defend the reputation of Arabs, then Egypt will win my appreciation.
Simple, but that's all.
We are just all ordinary people here whose voice are trivial. Prayers for your soldiers, or curses to your enemies, whatever you like. After all, it is the fighters sweating in the battleground, the politicians playing on the stage that matter.
But Blind support or Oppostion should be kept in moderate levels. Even when it comes to our own country. In modern age. No one is Devil and No one is Angel.
Acidic trend of putting everything in Zero Sum. And blindly parroting a nerrative, Infact pulling facts and analysis from god knows where to support or oppose a narrative is cringeworthy.
Their should be some merit on judgements and discussions.
I am not a Turk. Infact Turkish members are amoung the most stubborn to oppose policies of their president if they are clearly wrong.
But Anti Turkish Mouthpieces are even more idiotic and one way.
