No, they are following their policy of Isolate Pakistan & nothing more. But on a serious note Turkey could gain trade agreements which is a step towards improving ties.

Developing relations is not something that i'm against.

But expecting Turkish support against Pakistan is.....pure non-sense.

Improving bi lateral relations between growing economies is a positive development for the region.

Indians are under the delusion they can buy the foreign policies of other countries.
It would be better if they use that money on their malnourished children,
since 40% of the world's malnourished children exist in India alone.

Today's news

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and his counterpart China’s state councilor Yang Jiechi met in Hyderabad on Friday to remove irritants in bilateral relations.

They also explored ways to step up bilateral counter-terrorism cooperation.
Doval and Yang are at present Special Representatives of India and China for negotiations on boundary dispute and strategic consultations.

They held the 19th round of boundary negotiations in Beijing on April 20. Their discussion in Hyderabad on Friday, however, did not focus much on the boundary dispute and rather tried to iron out the newer wrinkles in bilateral relations.

No ‘unilateral action’ to change status quo

China on Friday said actions should not be taken by either side that may “unilaterally change” the status quo of the Line of Actual Control, PTI reports from Beijing.
Beijing’s statement came as it refuted reports that its troops crossed over to the Indian side in Demchok area in Ladakh region to stop the work of a canal.

Turkish delegation led by Minister of Development meets the Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh

A Turkish delegation led by Minister of Development Mr. Lutfi Elvan met the Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh here today.

Shri Rajnath Singh said terrorism is a major challenge for the global community. Stating that both the countries should come onboard to fight terrorism, he said that the ISIS does not have much wider dimension here in India though it posed a major challenge to Turkey. Seeking Turkey’s support on the Kashmir issue, Shri Rajnath Singh said India seeks Istanbul’s support in the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC).

The Turkish Minister said the two countries should push forward the Comprehensive Trade Partnership Agreement and proposed revival of sittings of the Joint Economic Fourm. He also sought more investment opportunities for Turkish Construction Companies in India’s Infrastructure sector and said Istanbul can be a favoured transit point for trans-Atlantic destinations.

Yeah, as long as it's not hurting Pakistan's interests.

Absolutely brother, Pakistan and Turkey's relationship predates the creation of two states. No matter
which Turkish govt whether secular or religious, they have always stood by us in difficult times.
Pak-Turk relationship is unmatched and special and is being cemented through more and more
defence deals.
Turkey is now projecting its power beyond the borders in Iraq, in Qatar, it is natural it will
develop relations with all growing economies.
May God bless Turkey.

all major powers few centuries ago came to make a fortune from india and those days are back again as it appears. so making a fortune is Turkey's right. Turkey was not in the old east india company because Turks already ruled there but Turkey can be in the sequel.

What is happening to the lira guys? Do you think it is a problem that our currency lost half of it's value in the last years or that it dropped so much in the last days? Couple of weeks ago or something the dollar was trading for around 3 YTL and the Euro was around 3,30.

And today:
1 USD = 3,26 YTL
1 EUR = 3,55 YTL

ps BIST also is going down and the current accound deficit actually widens in September to 32 billion dollars. Revanues from tourism are down by 33%. Unemployment rises so is our External debt (more than 420$ billion) but I guess it's all good, right?

In this thread if you read the articles posted you will probably see only the bright side of life but you can hardly find any info about how things have worsened about our economy.

ps For those who live in Turkey. Do you guys feel that there is some kind of an economical micro- crisis in the country? Is life more expensive and can people even feel that things are not going economicaly well?
