The interest rates should definitely be raised by the central bank, but who got the balls to do that? No one.
We all remember what happened to the last guy who raised the interest rates and tried to resist the lowering of those rates.

**** akp and mhp I hope shit hits the fence and mhp ppm defect or akp ppl defect.

And who would come to power then? A mixture of HDP+CHP+IP+some Independent groups (mostly from MHP)? :D It will be a complete shit-sh*w with instability and uncertainty.

A strong AKP government with a mandate to enforce necessary reforms is the only way forward for Turkey. I just wish everyone gets to their senses and enforce the structural reforms for the Turkish economy need for the next period of healthy and productive sustained economic growth.

Some people are imagining fairy tales if they think increasing interest rates would have solved Turkish currency problems. Turkish currency is over-valued for quite some time now...and the deterioration of the Turkish curreny post 2018 was not all natural either.

The issue is: One side (AKPers) blame foreign intervention/animosity for the crisis while the other side (secularists/anti-AKPers) blame Erdogan/AKP solely for the current crisis.

The truth, as always, lies somewhere in the middle. Turkish inflation numbers were promising for the month of July. Hope the trend remains. Single-digit inflation and decrease in unemployment by the end of the year is what economic policy of Turkey should be aiming at in the short term.

Use curreny devaluation to maximize Turkish competitive advantage in exports and tourism sector. Easier said than done, especially when your biggest trading partners dont really want that to happen :)

A smallreminder that babacan and davutoglu left akp. After spending more than 4 years inside the party trying to get the new brownnose ministers and rte to do the right thing.

Imo it was a mistake to stay inside akp and try to get them to do the right thing. There is only one boss and he doesn’t have what it takes to be held accountable.

Babacan or davutoglu didn't leave AKP. In fact they were forced out and not for economic reasons.

Criticism against handling of the currency should be always welcome but the criticises here are mostly from the usual anti akp propagandists secularist. They have a problem with akp because of rte. They have a problem with rte because of his conservative values. They have a problem with conservative values is because its derived from Islam. They have a problem with islam because it was brought by Muhammad (saw). They have problem with Muhammad (saw) because of his values. They have problem with Prophet values because it is inspired by Allah(swt). They have problem with Allah (swt) is because His Laws are against everything they and the devil stand for

If rte delinked himself from any of the above, you would've seen how passionately these secularist defend rte against any crises or mistakes

Then, Why chosen to live in a kaffir country UK instead of a muslim one such as Afganistan, S. Arabia, Pakistan..?

Money is more important to you than Allah's orders?

Hypocrisy.

Your arguments are pathetic, but it shows how narrowminded and stuck up you are. If you don’t even have what it takes to call out against nepotism and incompetence then it’s proof of how blind you are.

I won’t go so low as to insult peoples faith in Allah cc, i leave that to people like you. Babacan said it himself he keeps his faith seperate from his work. But to ppl like you who can’t discern between the two any opposition to rte is an opposition to islam.

Seyl-ul islam is Erbas and not RTE, so you are brownnosing the wrong guy
