A sufficient number of Engines for ALTAY T1 Tanks ( 40 units ) will be purchased from S.Korea until the indigenous BATU power pack is ready

Only 40 units? Why not go for more?

because of BMC develops 1500hp BATU Engine for ALTAY Tank

and there will be ALTAY T1 , T2 and T3 variant ( only 40 units for ALTAY T1 variant )

So you're only making 40 tanks with a foreign engine. Then why make them at all? Why not wait to make your own engine and make 500 of them?

We lost 3 years since 2018
why to wait extra many years for indigenous Engine if S.Korea sell Engine to Turkey ?

Turkey can produce 40 ALTAY T1 variant with S.Korean Engine

210 ALTAY T2 variant will be eqipped with BATU Engine , featuring increased protection and improved situational awareness systems as a new armor, isolated munitions configuration, Laser guided firing capability, Crew training mode and mobile net camouflage

T3 variant will feature an unmanned turret with a bustle-mounted autoloader

So 'superpower' turkey can't make a jet fighter or even a tank ?

like the superpower that you are unable to supply your stores with bread without the EU, it seems that the French will cut off electricity at Jersey ,
and that you also run out of fuel, pray France to let the trucks pass

an already functional engine can allow the tank to carry out its tests on the battlefield in order to know the defects and the improvement of its armor,
The Turkish engine is in the test phase, it must not break down in a conflict, it must be tested over several thousand km

If the domestic power package was ready, we would not use even one foreign power package. Is there any guarantee that South Korea will not cause problems in the future? Of course not.

Our ultimate goal is not to use any foreign origin products in the systems we will use in the defense of the Turkey, except for ordinary materials such as bolts. Of course, our other major goal is to produce each critical material (like EOTS or engine) as high quality as its foreign counterparts.

This rule may not apply to products exported abroad. If a foreign country wants to use a non-Turkish part, we use the foreign part in the product we export. On one condition, that part will be supplied by that country itself. For example, let's say Morocco requests a Canadian EOTS in TB-2. Morocco can use it, it's ok for us. Morocco will talk to Canada and will supply directly Canada.

I heard they don't want to give you tech transfer now for the engines or something like that.
