Show me an Product of Turkish Industry that can hold against this ATGM !

Maybe Otokar Tulpar with his Front Armour, as you can see in the Video the Tank has done nothing against the ATGM, it don´t moved from his place or change his direction to the ATGM.

But if SA is looking for a lasting solution and not a "buy from the shelf" like Turkey did in the past. Then it's better for SA to buy from a NATO country especially Turkey. We've already signed deals and MoU etc. and building factories to construct Armoured vehicles. um.. if I recall correctly Indonesia is one of those countries.

Of course we can't sell to any country they need to be stable and have a solid infrastructure and potential investment for Turkey.

Seems like bullshit to me too, KSA will only buy from us what they can't get from someone else. See them buying the Chinese CH-4 UAVs.

I have no idea how much of SA inventory consists of western gear and how much of it is eastern. perhaps they've diversified their investment in that part.

but buying ready made from the shelf is only now and here solution.

Saudi Arabia To Build Antonov Cargo Planes

Saudi Arabia Is Buying 30 Of These New Ukrainian-Built Military Cargo Planes

Some good news came to Ukraine’s famous, albeit struggling aircraft manufacturer, Antonov, today. Saudi Arabia has announced that they are going to purchase 30 of the company’s new AN-178 jet transports. This is the first military order for the type and the largest single order to date.

I heard you made some progress in camouflage technology?

Short summary in english plz?!
They developed a system based on "graphene" which can change it's colors like octopus, chamelon. System is being designed to work no all spectrums including the wavelength that the human eye can see, infrared, even to work in microwave wave lengths. Currently only works in microwave wave length.

DND declares Turkey firm lowest bidder in Army's deal for night-fighting gear

MANILA - The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) of the Department of National Defense (DND) has declared Aselsan A.S., an defense firm dealing in electronic warfare gear based in Turkey, as the lowest bidder for the Philippine Army's Night Fighting System (NFS) Acquisition Project worth P1.116 billion to buy 4,464 night sighting and laser and infrared aiming devices.

The bidding was presided over by retired general Assistant Secretary Ernesto Boac.

Aselsan got the project for more than P700 million only, lower by P300 million from the bid price offered by US-based Armasight Enterprises.

Aselsan was represented by Murat Unluturk, owner of the Defense Marketing Consultancy (DMC), and associate Civan Uzcivanuglu along with two others when DND-BAC declared the company the lowest bidder on Thursday last week. (Editor's note: Information on representation corrected.)

The acquisition consists of Night Vision Monocular, an Infrared Aiming Device and a Laser Zeroing Device.

Aselsan's local partner is System Nomics Philippines, Inc. led by Alan Mendoza.

A quick background check shows that Aselsan has no extensive experience in manufacturing night vision products, since its expertise is producing military electronics and munition systems including radar, which means the firm has to acquire the important components, most especially the lens, from a different manufacturer as the Army wants a US-made lens.

The NFS project is considered the "pet-project" of Maj. Gen. Elmer Pabale, now commander of the Army Support Command (ASCOM), who formulated the specs.

The Army wants the lens of the monocular to be US-made and it should be a "third-generation" lens, which is said to be the product of US-based Litton Industries, the sole manufacturer in the world of such a lens assembly.

In 2001, Litton was bought by Northrop Grumman Corporation.

An inside source indicated that he was not sure about Turkey having applied for Export License from the US State Department to acquire the lens.

The NFS is part of the Army's modernization program funded through the General Appropriation Act (GAA).

"At one point during the open forum of the bidding proceedings, the representative of Israel asked the BAC why it opened the bidding to everyone when the specs of the procurement dictated that the critical part should be US-made," a local representative who was present during the pre-bid conference recalled.

ACTIVE/PASSIVE DETECTION TECHNOLOGIES

THz Active Target Detection SystemMetal, plastic, ceramic, organic dielectric materials, explosive substances exhibit distinctive reactions to THz waves. THz Active Target Detection System directs THz waves on possible targets suspected packages, briefcases, IED threats on the road and is used for Detection and Identification of these materials analysing the distinctive reflected waves. One of the main application areas for the system is suicide bomber detection.

Non-Linear Junction Detection System (Harmonic Radar)Non-Linear Junction Detection System is used for detection of circuitry of IEDs in Route Clearance Operations applying semiconductor junction detection technology (via detecting and analysing harmonics of the reflected signals (harmonic radar) combining with optimised frequency set according to the IED scenarios, special algorithms and database for target selectivity.

It can be integrated with High Power Electromagnetics Systems to cooperate for combining Detect & Attack operations on a single system.

Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and Raman Spectroscopy TechnologiesASELSAN has been continuing its R&D activities on LIBS and Raman Spectroscopy Technologies which are used to detect explosive substances such as RDX, TNT and ANFO from a safe distance; focusing on element/molecule analysis, analysis on wavelengths of reflecting laser waves and shifts in molecular vibration frequencies of explosive substances. The experiments are being held in the lab and in the field.

Microorganism Based Explosive Substance Detection TechnologyASELSAN’s R&D activities on Microorganism Based Explosive Substance Detection Technology aim to develop technologies for production of microorganisms that are capable of creating a sign in the case of existence of explosive substances, utilising ASELSAN’s research efforts on microarray, bioinformatics, synthetic biology. Sprayed over a field and allowed to contact the explosive residues that may be present around an IED, fluorescent protein producing bacteria become detectable.
