Turkey Says Flight Simulators Save $80M
Turkey's procurement office, the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM), said that within the first year of operating its flight simulator center, the Air Force training concept saved $80 million from reduced real flights.
It said a total of 21,000 hours of KT-1T and 9,000 hours of T-38M flights were saved in one year.
The simulator center was built by Turkish military software company Havelsan, based here.
