Couldn't agree more. I've watched the entire 1hr15mins of the video and it's interesting to see a clown within the room talking about the number of new universities in the country in a negative tone, was good to see Temel Kotil quickly dismissing this idiot and moving to the next person. It's pretty sad to see certain individuals becoming miserable when the country is taking concrete steps to become self sufficient in every aspect, they associate every new development as something to be ashamed of.

Dr. Temel Kotil, Ph.D., served as General Manager of Turk Hava Yollari Anonim Ortakligi until October 24, 2016 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Kotil served as the Chief Executive Officer of Turk Hava Yollari Anonim Ortakligi since 2005 and also served as its President. Mr. Kotil served as Assistant Associate Professor and Associate Professor in Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Aircraft and Space Sciences, in 2003, he started his career in Turkish Airlines as Assistant Technical General Director. Mr. Kotil served as Deputy General Manager at Turkish Technic, Inc. He served as Guest Professor at the University of Illinois, also served as Research Engineer at Advanced Innovative Technologies Inc. from 2002 to 2003. He served as the Head of Research Planning and Coordination Department at Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul. Mr. Kotil founded and managed the Aviation and Advanced Composite Laboratories of ITU, also served as Chair and Associate Dean of Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering. He served as Vice Chairman of Turk Hava Yollari Anonim Ortakligi until October 24, 2016 and served as its Director since April 26, 2005 until October 24, 2016. He serves as a Director of Turkish Technic Inc. He has been Member of the Board of Governors at International Air Transport Association since 2006. He has many articles and publications in the aeronautical science journals and papers in seminars and conferences. He served as a Director of Turkish Technic, Inc. Mr. Kotil graduated from Aeronautical Engineering Department at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 1983, completed his masters degree in USA in "Aircraft Engineering" department of Michigan University in 1986 and his second masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1987. Mr. Kotil received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1991.

Almost all of the costumers of THY is foreigners while it's pilots, cabin crews, land teams, repair workers/engineers etc is Turks. All of these people are making good money because they are doing something Premium. That's their marketing strategy and There is nothing wrong with making profit from Rich peoples, is there?

THY have really upped their marketing strategy, the amount of THY tags I see on suitcases in foreign airports is staggering.

More of these, on every bag checked in :-)

Turkish Airlines has also a second level company Anadolu-Jet and shares in Sun Express charter.
 
Contract for “Procurement of Contracting Services within the scope of Construction Agreement for Infrastructure and Facilities at 7th Main Jet Base Command for Site Activation of JSF Combat Aircraft” was signed on 14 August 2017 in Ankara by Nurol Construction for a total Lump Sum amount of 429.500.000 TL (Around 123.000.000 usd)
