Too expensive for only 48 Typhoons that's ~€122 million for each.

Sure. But maybe there is a posibility of offseting those costs by partnership with TAI or other turkish airospace companies by producing some of the parts, something similiar to a deal with the US companies. The way the things are going those US partnerships may cease to exist in the near future considering divergence in interests and foreign policies of US and Turkey in the region and even beyond.

Of course, Im just speculating here. Like we all do sometimes.
