Bro, I heart/know that There is an ongoing project for 203mm TOWED howitzer thanks to expertise gained from Panter howitzers but I don't know current statues of project. I also don't know How serious MKEK for that project.

Some members think that The front section is about deceleration unit of Sakarya but I believe It is the guidance fins. Using a 40km range rocket with aa deceleration unit is not a logical choice since max. 40km range itself is a close distance for an artillery.

Considering the current status of projects and the sheer number of artillery pieces that need to be replaces(assuming Turkish army doesnt want to shrink in terms of quantity), it would be safe to assume we would have one of the most deadliest artillery force in the region if the aformentioned military products enter service.

T-155 Firtina batch I -> Total of 280 delivered
T-155 Firtina batch II -> To replace around ~530 units of M-52T and M-44T SPH's.
Boran 105mm Truck & Lighweight variants-> To replace M101, M114 and M116's in the thousands.
T-155 Panther Truck Mounted -> To possibly replace M107 and M101 SPH's in the hundreds.
Domestic 203mm howisters -> To possibly replace M115 Howitsers.

And these are just howitsers. Lets not start with the developement and induction of rockets, guided rockets, bombs, smart bombs, smart artillery shells, Multi-Barrel MLRS's, mortars and etc.

Seems that we will standart our ammo for Howitzers with 155 mm and for the lightweight with 105 mm.

I am not sure, whether we will use 203 mm howitzers in future, MKEK cancelled the Project for ammo production.

USA and Germany phased them out between 1993 and 1994. Despite the fact they are very accurate and effectice against bunkers with their almost 100 kg Shells; they are a relict of cold war and primarily intented for tactical nukes.
