Turkish Army receives new fighting vehicles​

The Turkish military on Thursday received the first five new ZMA-15 Zırhlı armored infantry fighting vehicles.

The ZMA-15 Zırhlı is an armored combat vehicle developed by a partnership between Turkey’s state-controlled military electronics company Aselsan and armored vehicles maker FNSS. It is an upgraded version of the ACV-15 armored vehicle from Turkey manufacturer FNSS.

The Zırhlı has been designed as a multi-role armored vehicle that combines fire strength and maneuverability, and armour to support infantry in the assault.


In the first phase of the upgrade program, Aselsan will modernize 133 vehicles, lengthening their life span and survivability and armed with a 30mm autonomous turret.

Other upgrades on the ZMA-15 include automatic target tracking, a laser warning system, a close-distance surveillance system, a modern cruise system, mine-protected seats, increased ballistic protection and anti-mine protection.

@Zarvan sir why don't our army opt for these type of infantry fighting vehicles which will enhance troop transport and tank support too how long we keep going with m113 these are hard to even sit and there is no protection on them either better get rid of these metals and why oak not inducting Air defence guns too for low flying objects

These ones are also variant of M113.

Time to get one of these from either China or Turkey at least with TOT. We need one wheeled and one tracked APC with TOT either from China, Turkey, or Europe.

Yes agreed why not ZAHA was good for marines and VN 22 Is best suited for army money are wasted on tanks when we can get a new capabilities which we never had

Hamza in real sense is an MRAP not an APC or an IFV. Although I expect Cavalier group to come up with 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 wheeled APC as seen in photos I posted.

sarkar, reassess Hamza. MRAP are always 4x4 and light as possible. anything greater than 4x4 like Hamza is in the APC category. What's the difference between MRAP and APC? not much. MRAP is an Armoured Personnel Carrier.

There have been MRAP who are 6 x 6.

Pakistan needs wheeled 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 IFV and also tracked ones. Our best source are either Turkey or China

They're purpose built to deal with ambushes from insurgents and special forces. APCs and IFVs are not.

They also tend to roll over at high speeds and can not carry heavy weapons which makes them much less useful in conventional war.
