Turkish Airpower has a Fifth Generation Aircraft Problem

. .
You already know it is inherited from US technology, then you must know US can put restrictions on it. Huawei just proved this for you.:(
Engines cannot be upgraded, you can only repair it, or just replace it wholy
tell me something I don't already know - the US can pressure every ally or partner out of every contract... that is the problem - let alone that F35 issue... they are openly sanctioning the TFX project, because if turkey could get any core-techs out of other partners than the US - they couldn't put any more pressure on turkey... u got me?

.
ad some engine and make some cruisemissiles....:(

we try to have a constructive convo... making fun about the UAV program of turkey is like trying to hijack.. stop it
Just pointing out that it's not going to be possible to replace fighters in combat with turboprop drones. Tempest is something that can replace fighters.

I have stated this in the very beginning, US uses military sales as political tools with the superiority of US weapons.

nobody every would say shit like that - a UAV is only there for CAS or AS in general ... we all know that

I hope your national pride and your animosity towards japan do not cloud your eyes when I say the following:

the only ones who can really help us FAST and EFFECTIVELY, even faster than most of the western nations - would be Japan, because their technology is mostly not based on US technology... otherwise, the USA wouldn't still trying to make Japan dependent, e.g. with AEGIS, because the USA is afraid of Japan's potential... which is far ahead of that from S.Korea...

Turkey also has a historical friendship, partnership with Japan... (they do not grant PKK Kurds asylum), etc.

Only their military doctrine is in our way... if Turkey hadn't been so stupid with their public announcements like 'we will sell the Altay to AZ' (embargo), they would even have helped us with that... maybe there would be a fully capable Altay by now LMAFO...

I have heard some say that because it has BVR missiles.

and they aren't wrong with that... with superior avionics - asea radar etc. - turkey could hunt aircraft... other drones, helicopters, etc... but in fact, couldn't fight a dogfight and no one would tell other

The decisions are taken by consensus after elaborate debates...

F-35s are Trojan horses. You don't buy Trojan horses, traitors, terrorists etc. unless you're like MBS/MBZ/Sisi etc...

By HIS PERMISSION Turkey is working on TFX in blocks - the first to come out of the hanger by 2023...

The Last Shah of Iran, the closes Muslim ally the US had ever had, was in-done with a two-weeks notice via a CIA ops executed by grinding the Islamists and Communists within the same crucible...

we all know that - but turkey was able to hack their F16 systems - and hacking the F35 would be better than hoping to develop a full capable gen5 fighter in the next 3 yrs from now...

The US authorities, hence, have put 8m codes of F-35s very close to their hearts...

Once they're ready to share it with Turkey she will get F-35s and modify them to her will and necessity...

They will probably not share any more codes with TR, simply because we have perverted the F16 LMFAO...
The sad thing is that you are right with what you say... it would be a Trojan horse, we could not rely on the planes... so it is a lose-lose situation...

The last hope for turkey would be japan... as president, I would turn to it and strengthen relations, etc. - we have no other options left, if we don't want to obey
