So Turkey today/or tomorrow signed an agreement with France /Italy at NATO Headquarters for a co-development of an air defense system - which is part of its major security backbone - of NATO and will accept that Turkey buys another air defense system from a country that is at the origin of the creation of NATO itself and is the first enemy of NATO.

Well, are you going to post a source of cancellation of S-400 deal (whether from Russian Defence ministry or Turkish defence ministry), or will you keep trolling?

There's a lot of tension, disagreement, animosity and centuries of warfare between many NATO members. Many actively spy on other members, actively work against their economic interests and even support fringe groups and terrorism against them. NATO has become a far cry from the organization it was during the Cold War. Now it's just a political pressure tool.

Turkey is generally neutral in the "war" between the US/West and Russia and will opt for weapon systems solutions that offer the best value for Turkey. That means we're free to do business with both as we please. There's nothing in NATO charter that says a member cannot buy weapons from a non-NATO source. Nor is it the first NATO country to do so.

It's still not clear. I wouldn't be surprised if the deal is suddenly cancelled.

not an option. some paid dogs want it but we wont cancel s-400 deal.

Is it "I don't want Turkey to buy S-400" or "Turkey cancelled it"? You know, these two are very different than each other, and one does not have any effect on reality.

“That deal has not been consummated. There are no S-400s in Turkey as we speak,” U.S. Air Force General Tod Walters, head of NATO Allied Air Command, told Reuters in Berlin.

Thats one thing but the other noticeable thing is that he says that the deal is still not through.

And that is the nature of military purchase. When you made a multi-billion deal with one of the biggest powers on earth, to cover your immediate air defense needs, and even sent first payment, you just don't cancel it, but instead buy it

France-Italy-Turkey project would give it's first fruits after a decade (if it could success), and then there won't be instant purchasing. There will be long duration testing and orders from all France-Italy-Turkey if it could pass tests, and delivering will also take additional 3-5 years. And all these assumed that there won't be any crisis between those states and Turkey.

We will not just sit here without any high altitute air defense in next 2 decades
