First we need to define what's "free", what's "fair".
Free elections means, reflecting of the people's will to ballot box. In this regard we have no questions about election being free. Turkish election system nullifies feud.
Fair elections means, granting equal opportunity to all candidates.
- AKP and Erdoğan using TRT (state owned media) to do their own propaganda. If they are giving 10 hours of air time to Erdoğan they give 1 hour to other candidates.
- Most of the commercial media owners are buddies of Erdoğan (Lastly they pressed Aydın Doğan so much that he had to sell his all media outlets to Erdoğan's buddy Demirören). If you look at to any internet newspaper you will see 5 news about Erdoğan and AKP, 1 news about Ince and CHP. Other candidates are censored entirely.
- AKP and Erdoğan using state resources for them and their supporters, planes, helicopters, municipality buses etc...
- And other small things like bring down an opposition billboard because there is Turkish flag in their propaganda but not touching the AKP billboards all though they have the Turkish flag too.
So, in terms of "fair" elections, no.... elections are being far from being fair.
Further more "fair" elections defined in the constitution, Erdoğan defies Constitution.
