why Turkey didn't get P3 for ASW... Norway uses it in the coastlines to detect Nuclear powered Russian subs, Black sea fleet sonsists of Kilo's according to wikipedia.

is there any plan in the future to get P3 with Turkish modifications and software?

i also wonder about the price of this compared to what we use.

P3s are originally designed as a land-based, long-range, anti-submarine warfare (ASW) patrol aircraft mate..Norway`s coastlines and Turkey`s are different..Turkey doesnt need P3

If i remember correctly, Americans offered us P3s mid-2000s but they were not cost-effective so TN refused it.

Nope mate..ATR 72 of Italian Finmeccanica is another option and meets Turkey`s needs much more than P3

yes, but but they operate in the northern parts of the coast close to the Russian zone.

Turkey can use them from let's say Trabzon or Rize and could reach any place in black sea pretty fast. and since subs don't have any anti air missile (?) they are better of sending P3 than milgem's and in worst case have them sink by a sub.

EDIT: i was wondering since, ATR is a partially French owned company and since we have suspended military co-operation with France maybe this could be a option.

I hope the relationship between Iraq and Turkey recovered soon since we're both Islamic countries plus we have a long time of historical relationship actually many Iraqis have Turkish origin, we can both benefited of better ties, since turkey has some technologies we need we have some money they need, the problem now Mr, Erdogan attitude.

If you want that, Firstly clean your soil from terrorist pkk. Do not let your country to be host of pkk. Other wise your hopes are useless. We don't have problem with Iraqi people. We have problem with your gov and its policy.
