What's new

Turkey's last warning to the West before it's too late

turkey has been a slave of the west for the past 80 yrs

That's a great disservice to Mustafa Kamal who pretty much laid the groundwork for what is modern Turkey. It was his ideological shift, his separation of church and state and his emphasis on keeping clear of foolish goals such as ummah and islamic alliances that attracted western investment, eased Turkey's entry to NATO as early as 1952 and nearly made Turkey part of the EU - resulting in it being the only Muslim-majority nation of any size with a level of development comparable with western countries. It was not easy and took almost 80 years.

Yet here's Erdogan who in less than 5 years has systematically dismantled most of Turkey's institutions, freely used religion as a means of state policy, whipped up distrust between Turkey's closest partners in the EU, adopted policies that have brought terrorism to Turkey and breached every conceivable diplomatic protocol possible.

Where other countries once aspired to be like Turkey, that man is now throwing it all away in pursuit of his vain ambition. I believe his is very clearly on the wrong side of history - whatever his supporters and the people of Turkey may think - and in the long run it is the future generations of Turks who will pay the price.

Turkey was economically bankrupt because of mismanagement and corruption. Turkey had no democracy or human rights as it was run by the juntas. All that changed after AKP came to power. People didn't vote for them for nothing. You are a butt hurt suckular champion who is not so suckular in india. You hate Erdogan for embracing Islamic principles in economy but you don't mind lynching and murdering minorities in india for not taking cattle urine as a sacred drink. Please, please we've had enough of your suckular hypocrisy.

Hey u little schoolboy dont try to teach me about history, i know too much about ww1 and the events that led up to it, u know nothing about the devil and its designs ..

Okay next time I'll ask a Pakistani member like mastan khan to point out the patriotism or follies of the Pakistani leaders. I never deny the achievements of Pakistan, I was simply trying to poit out the weaknesses so that Pakistan has a chance to overcome them but I can see that you take criticism for hostility. Remember flattery gets you nowhere but a bottomless pit.

If you don't mind dictatorships where voting and vote counting are done by the ruling party thugs why do you mind it in Turkey where at least voters can have free and fair elections?
Brother u were not pointing out weakneses, u were mocking pakistan and u ought to know a people who have led the war for islam alone against the whole world for the past 70 years are a proud people and are liable to take offence, next time resort to a more brotherly way of criticism and i promise u i will welcome it, iam no fool nationalist, my nationalism only emerges from loyalty to islam, u dont know the love i have for the turks and the pain i feel about what happened to them in ww1, u dont know the rush of blood and pride i feel when i read about ertugul, salman shah, sultan mehmet, othman, the conquest of constantinople, the glory of the ottomans, u dont know the happiness me my friends and family felt when erdogan succesfuly defeated the coup of the secularists in army, i told my freinds that the turks are waking up again, Allah has choosen different nations in different eras to serve His will, first He choose the Arabs, than the Ottomans emerged after a terrible humiliation and destruction of islam by mongols and crusaders and in this era Allah has choosen pakistan and this era my friend is the worst one, i consider turkey the most trustworsthy ally of pakistan amongst the entire muslim ummah, i feel no loyalty to al sauds or khamenis..

There are people who stuff thier minds with history and can draw no conclusion from it based on their own freethought and by virtue of logic, such people are drones slaves to the whim of the pen of historians, i know a lot more than kack shit about ww1 and logic demands it that no way in hell the allies were retreating without finishing off the job, the same allies that had kicked the *** of mighty germany just recently, they knew had they occupied turkey and tried to force the demolition of caliphate all turks and the muslim ummah would've united against them, the concept of caliphate would've lived, so they created a hero from among the turks who appeared as a saviour, the saviour who then led them away from caliphate, one of their own, it was the perfect game played by a very smart enemy, seriously indont feel the need to indulge in a further discussion in the matter with a prancing zombie with no thought of his own so stfu..

Unfortunately you are suffering from tunnel vision. You look at it from one angle which is why even if the greatest historian on earth explains history to you, you will deny it so whatever I say will not change anything.

.
I request members to not disrespect other nations heroes . especially @Awan68 be careful while talking about Ataturk and please don't come to bows with Turk Brothers

.
I love turks, doesnt mean i have to love attaturk..

Lol sometimes tunnel vision is the best way to analyze mega events, the amounts of perpectives involved, one simply doesnt get anywhere with a wider view, its chaos if u knw what i mean, one simply has to go by the objective and solution theory i.e what objective was set, what solution of completion was adopted and what was achieved in the end game and which side got what, the west wanted unity of muslims to disember and wither away, the best way was to strike and eradicate the source of unity aka the caliphate(objective), only eay possible to eliminate it was to ideologocally defeat it and it must be done by one of our own(solution), the gallipoli dramma(the way adopted to achieve the said objective) , the western side was succesful in disintigreating the source of islamic unity( end game achieved).adopt this way of analyzing world events and u will see a much clearel image i can promise u that...

This is exactly why most of the Muslim world won't evolve. You are the perfect example.

Unfortunately you are suffering from tunnel vision. You look at it from one angle which is why even if the greatest historian on earth explains history to you, you will deny it so whatever I say will not change anything.

You know what's funny -- this Caliph fanboy doesn't know that most Ottoman Caliphs indulged in everything Islam forbid. :D

I don't view the epidemic of corruption among the ruling elites as the real picture of any nation be it Pakistan or BD. You are not reading me correctly. My mockery is always directed towards the ruling elites because in Muslim states they are mostly crooks with dubious record and character. Now do I need to furnish evidence to back up my claim? When the sh!t hits the fan even their allies tell who these blood suckers are. I'm not going to discuss it any further. I'm sorry if I've hurt your feelings in any way, it was unintentional. Though we fought against Pakistan for our independence but the world has changed since then. Under the present circumstances we cannot afford to go against each other because we're all in the same boat now. Therefore, I wish to see a powerful and prosperous Pakistan. If you don't believe me there's not much I can do to change that. I pray that Allah grants you the wisdom to understand what I want to say.

i know too much about ww1 and the events that led up to it, the agenda that was prepared on turkey and the drama that was staged at gallipoli to make attaturk a fake hero, no way in hell allied armies were retreating off a beach unless that retreat would make one of their agents an eternal hero, u know nothing about the devil and its designs ..

Gallipoli was staged !?? 55,000+ Turks died, 1,00,000+ were wounded - and you call that a "drama" ??

History is not your strong point. +1 to my ignore list.

Lol....they played make believe war in WW1:-) :-) another pdf-ian gem to frame

Indeed. Next he'll say that the D-Day landings were staged to make eisenhower look good ... for his presidential campaign 15 years later.

You hate Erdogan for embracing Islamic principles in economy

No point having a conversation with you - clearly you'd call even the Pope secular. Btw your spelling is terrible - I can recommend some online resources to improve your written English.

You didn't bother to point out the spellings YOU THINK are incorrect. That's the typical indian way, anyway I'm not surprised. In some cases I avoid using capital letters, it's intentional, don't take it as an error.

That buffon is already +1 of our Idiotic PM candidate Rahul Gandhi.

Erdogan is more similar to Modi than Rahul Gandhi. Both took advantage of a wave of nationalism to come to power and both are decisive. Erdogan is more maniacal than Modi but give the latter some time.

Erdoğan didn't use nationalism to come power. He can be anything, he can be İslamists one second and hate nationalism, then he can be nationalist and then he can be something else. He changes every day. He's like a belly dancer.

He can turn 180 degrees of what he said and people don't say oh look you said this before.

I understood what u meant to say at the beggining, i just disagreed with ur way of saying it, things have always been what they were, we are 2 muslim nations pakistan and bd so we must naturaly set aside our differences and strive collectively against india i agree with u, u will see a sincere pakistan protecting and fighting for bangladesh against indian agression, may Allah bring u to the light and grant you a more appropriate way of conversation with freinds, u see my freind the corrupt elite in pakistan dont matter cause apart from their little traitorous episodes they dont hold any real power, the power in pakistan rests with patriots of army and isi but such is not the case in bangladesh, u have a direct anti islam, anti pakistan govt in place who wants to make u a slave to india, so tell we are people struggling against haseena in bd?, are the next elections gonna bring some change??
