Turkey’s Air Force Is Obsolete, Warns New Study

AKDOGAN RamJet powered long range air to air Missile under development .... similar to METEOR missile
Tell me after it gets completed. Making a RAMJET base solid fuel missile is a very big task. Liquid fuel missiles can still be made but they can't be used as BVRAAM. BVRAAM has to be solid fueled. WIth 0 experience in even designing basic liquid fuel RAMJET, Turkey will take at least 15-20 years to develop solid fuel Meteor type missile
65 km GOKDOGAN BVR air to air Missile ( solid-state RF seeker, with advanced counter-measure capability and datalink update
Anyone can make BVRAAM. The problem comes when it is a maneuvering target. Shooting a non maneuvering target is extremely easy and is like any other normal missile. Since Turkey has no fighter jets with its own radars and USA won't allow its planes to integrate another country's missiles, I wonder how Turkey can even test its missiles in a realistic high speed scenario.

BOZDOGAN WVR air to air Missile ( a high resolution dual colour imaging infra-red seeker, with a comprehensive off-boresight capability, along with advanced counter-measures )
Yes, IIR missiles are possible as IIR missiles don't need any radar integration. They fire using their own pod/internal seekers. Nevertheless, a high resolution IIR sensor is of advanced technology. It is unlikely that Turkey is makin this missile without any imported component
and only in 4 years Turkey has developed TEI TS-1400 turboshaft gas turbine engine for Helicopters
and TEI sent 5 TS-1400 tturboshaft Engines to TAI for integration/sertificate on T-625 Helicopter

in 2024 TEI TS-1400 turboshaft gas turbine engine will enter service .. in 8 years ( 2017-2024 )
Turkey has only made 1 prototype so far and that is a long way from results.

Turkey was become one of a few Countries in the World that develop Gas Turbine Engines

Turkey is one of 5 Countries in the World that produce turbine blades for gas turbine Engines
Which turbofan engine does Turkey make? Old generation helicopter engines are the easiest to make and even that is something Turkey is finding it hard.
The procurement of the S400 is a strategic decision of diplomacy that cannot be considered solely from a technical point of view.

Turkey can't rely on US support against Israel, when there is a conflict between Turkey and Israel, US will be 100% on Israel's side.

Russia is the best option for Turkey.Although Russia and Turkey have a long history of war.But neither Russia nor Turkey has the capacity to expand in the foreseeable future, and there is little chance of conflict. As a Chinese, I can be sure that China will not directly support Turkey in a war, when Turkey and the EU come into conflict, China will only remain neutral. But I believe Chinese technology can be applied to Russian weapons in the future. It is in China's interest to help Russia match America's level of conventional weapons technology.
Turkey can't get any supplies from western countries or any other countries during war. However, there is a big chance that having one sided defence equipments belonging to USA can be too risky as USA will definitely have some backdoor channels to disable them or bypass them during conflicts

We dont care about anyone like you who know nothing about Turkish defense İndustry

We have our own agenda
ROKETSAN develops RAMJET since 2011
TUBITAK-SAGE also develops RAMJET who has developed GOKDOGAN and BOZDOGAN air to air missiles

in 2020 TÜBİTAK SAGE Institute Director said
We can say that our country will have supersonic missiles with RAMJET in a not too long period of time

ask to other Turkish members , if you dont believe me

dont wory ... you will see soon

not just 1 prototype
TEI produced 5 TS-1400 Engines ( TS-1 , TS-2 , TS-3 , TS-4 and TS-5 )
and TS-1400 engines were delivered to Turkish Aerospace Industries for use in T-625 helicopter.( for integration and certification )

The compressor side is also very difficult, but the hardest is the first stage single crystal blades

A limited number of countries in the world have this technology like USA, UK , France, Turkey , Russia , China

If theyorder the f35 now they have to wait maybe 4 years. Until then türkiye will have armed hürjet hundred of drones. And long range sam Systems.

.
Turkey doesnt need old technologies like MIG-29 , Rafale , SU-35s which were bought by Egypt

in 2002 Turkey joined the JSF ( F35 ) program to buy 100+32 F-35s to replace F-4s and F-16 block30s
but treacherous The US is blocking transfer of F35s to Turkey since 2015

but if no F-35 ....no problem
until 2025 Turkish Airforce will have air superiority Jet Drone MIUS armed with AKDOGAN long range air to air missiles + AESA Radar + data link
View attachment 742385

Rafale and SU-35 will not change anything against Turkish Airforce when MIUS unmanned Fighter Jet enter service in 2025

Turkish Airforce by 2025 to become the most dangerest air force with Israeli Airforce in the region

-- 163 CCIP modernized F-16
-- 35 OZGUR modernized F-16
-- National AESA Radar for F-16 modernized
-- MIUS air superiority unmanned Fighter Jet
-- HURJET light attack Jet

and other missiles/glide bombs like HARM , AKBABA , SLAM-ER , MRASHM , KUZGUN , JSOW , KGK-LR ,etc

also Turkey focused on developing the TFX air superiority Fighter Jet by 2025 for first flight
Its common for world zionist owned press to put down Muslims countries. They did that with the jf17. Go turkey. InshAllah its your turn to shine

Do your research and you will find out there is more countries

Where are the f35s?
And 18 are few non AESA old rafales especially since block of turkish f16s will get AESA soon

Nope it will be AESA Rafales with Meteor.

US already said yes to F-35A for Greece and they just need to agree the details to sign the contract.

Yes Turkey will probably start putting AESA radar into their F-16s in a few years but their F-16s will still be inferior to Greek Rafale with AESA radar and Meteor missile.

Turkey bought S400 Air Defense Systems to turn Greek Rafales into crap of metal over the Aegean

also 100 km indigenous Air Defense System will be ready in 2022-2023 to protect Turkish Airspace

so Rafale can not change anything

by 2022-2023 Indigenous AESA radar is planned to use on the F-16 Block 30 Fighter Jets which will be modernized within the scope of the OZGUR project

BAE is giving helping you to develop avionics for your TFX project I mean guiding you how to make complex avionics for 5th gen jets,
this is the first time i hear this claim, when BEA helps for avionics of TFX? any proof? until now they only help for body of the aircraft and we talk for engine development(no agreement yet)

man! avionics of the TFX are very private like our bedroom, even one day pakistan and azerbaijan join the TFX club, they could not touch the mission computer of that plane , they would have allowed a very narrow place to integrate their bombs, thats it.

100 km range Air Defense System comes before SİPER

According to Defense Industry President İsmail DEMİR , the new air defense missile with a range of 100 km and altitude of 20 km has been developed before the SIPER high altitude Air Defense System

3 years ago we did not have any local defense system
in 2019 KORKUT 35mm SPAAG stepped in first as a bottom layer
in 2020 We put into service the SUNGUR which is effective up to an altitude of 4 km and a range of 8 km, launched both from the shoulder and from the vehicle
in 2021 HİSAR-A + is ready to enter the inventory

KORKUT 35mm SPAAG in service
SUNGUR MANPADS in service
HISAR-A and HISAR-O enter service
HISAR-U by 2022
SIPER by 2023

Fighter Jets and Cruise Missiles no more threat to Turkey

The only solution is building the T-FX and equipping it with the best systems Turkey currently has access to. Eventually moving towards an all T-FX fleet may allow Turkey a unique independence in its foreign policy, which they could never have if they operated the F-35.

They maybe limited with the 120kn engines, they make under license for the F-16, but it will give Turkey the impetus to focus on engine development. This could payoff in the long run as they could become a major alternative engine producer to the Western, Chinese and Russian options most nations have to choose from amongst.

Even if the plane is underpowered at first, it can focus on other ways and means to deal with the enemy while the plane and its engines mature. Long range ramjet powered BVR missiles, electronic means and swarms of loyal wingmen can help deal with Greek Rafales and F-35s. All exportable products a number of countries would love to have the option to consider.

.
Americans are conducting their own DoD studies to determine whether the F35 is even feasible in the long run. The USAF seems to think it is a jack of a ll trades master of none. It's expensive to acquire, expensive to maintain, expensive operating costs, maintenance intensive.

Salaam

The article suggests that the Turkish air force would start to become obsolete in the next decade or so. This doesn't mean that their air force isn't capable at this point.

The Turks have a decade at least before things start to become dire. They have been working on their indigenous projects for a while and hopefully they'd be much closer (if not ready) in this time.

Even if there is a bit of a delay, the Turks are still working on indigenous solutions and will have learned a lot by than.

The amount they'd be spending on buying newer planes would go towards improving domestic capabilities.

The Turks are thinking of the future, and you can't become a meaningful power without the capacity to produce key systems yourself.

I'd say Pakistan should work with both the Turks and the Chinese (either together or separately) to develop local capacity.

We need to have an eye on the future, and if we hope to be strong than we must work towards strengthening our economic, technological and political standing.

Turks are our natural allies. I wish them the best of luck.

turkey did huge mistake i will prefer f-35 over S-300 S400 S500 all of them .
