Countries having secular laws mixed with sharia doesnt make them secular by any means.

You gotta prove it when you claim something.

What people do in their private life isnt the states concern as long as its doesnt interfere with the laws such as poligamy or child marriage for exsample, if you still do you will get jailed no matter what sharia tells.
If someone decides to divorce his wife by religious means then fine but it doesnt have any legal ground, the same goes for religious marriages, its still void and has no legal ground as long as the couple doesnt marry legally.

That depends on the definition. Your secularism is the French version where religion plays no role whatsoever. In Denmark for instance there is a state church but everyone considers Denmark a secular country. Syria and Lebanon are as secular as they can get in the Muslim world, outside of the special case of Turkey. Anyway we see that this ideology of no religion playing any role in the Turkish society has failed given AKP's popularity.

I never claimed that as being a fact. That is my logical suspicion but I have not studied the Turkish constitution in detail. Not a Turkish lawyer. However it would surprise me if that was not the case.

I am just saying that laws are one thing but how people practice them de facto is another. I have a hard time believing that Sharia law and its many principles do not play any role whatsoever in the life of Turks. I suspect it is very much the opposite in the average Anatolian village let alone Kurdish areas of Turkey.

Anyway what about Israel? Is that not a secular ME country?

Where do u follow this, livestream link?

BeIN SPORTS bro. At least Qatar is useful for something for once, lol.

They begin showing the preview at 02.30 but the game starts 03.00.

Anyway you can watch streams like this below:

https://www.batmanstream.com/football-live-streaming-video-2016-18.html

Just choose basketball.

I am a big LA Lakers fan so I am hoping that Lebron James loses his 5 finals, lol. The Warriors are an amazing team too. The best I have seen so far. If they win tonight they win the championship and become the first team in NBA history to win all 16 playoff matches in a row. That would be insane. Anyway I am hoping for a Cavs win so we can get a game 5 at least. Last year the championship was won in game 7 (last possible game) so that was great for the neutral. This year has been boring but Warriors are to good after they got this guy:

4 year old video:

BEAST!

Bonus clip, lol:

I got my knowledge on the 1973 war when 3 arab countries attacked israel and got smashed (according to this and many places)

Let me know if these brits have bias. According to this, if US didnt intevene politically for a peace process Egypt would not get their land back. Israel already has golan heights.

Actually only two countries attacked and that shows that u know alot about the war .
Read a book.
Egypt achieved it's military and political goals= yes.
+
Israel achieved any of there goals =no.
= Egypt lost the war because reasons.

ohh move away you morrocon gypsy, please who are you talking here. I went to marrakech and my village is better than your shitty country full of beggars.

Turks pissed on all the countries wherever it went. If it wasnt for Turks, specifically Seljuks, jerasulem would have been taken how many times. Turks stopped in nearly all the crusades.
Lol Moroccan Gypsy? That is a new one, Moron. Are you talking about Marrakech that gets 8.1 million tourists per year? Slightly behind Istanbul 9.2 million? Either you are calling Istanbul your village, or you are full of shit.

Look how can you compare Denmark with Syria and Lebanon which have courts that say a womans testimony is only half as worth as those of men? You can define it as much as you want, there is a reason why not a single muslim country in ME is considered secular except Turkey and Tunisia when you count north africa as middle east too, this is not me claiming it but a universally accepted fact.

Anyway we see that this ideology of no religion playing any role in the Turkish society has failed given AKP's popularity.
Religion always played a big role in Turkish society it didnt just start with AKP, even in mine as a secular person, and this is fine because secularism doesnt mean abandoning religion but separating it from politics and laws.
Majority of Turks see religion as something private and use it as a social codex but its also worth to mention that Turkey despite religion playing a big role, is still one of the muslim countries with least support for sharia.

As said people can do what they want in their private life as long as they dont break laws, this doesnt make Turkey any less secular, whats important is the laws.

Again..... I said secular by constitution from the beginning, Israel doesnt even have a written constitution and also refers itself often as ''Jewish Democracy'' but defacto they are as secular as Turkey, dont wanna repat myself again.

Tunisia is very much a part of the Middle East, at least a part of the Arab world.

There is a option of secular and sharia law. Most criminal cases in Lebanon and Syria are dealt with using secular law, not sharia. Christian Arabs and other Christian minorities such as Armenians and Assyrians, don't even come into contact with Sharia law at all.

Officially, using the French (which the Turkish definition of secularism derives from), Denmark is not a full secular state because it has a official religion and a official state church that its citizens are paying taxes to. It's just an example.

I know what secularism means for God's sake. My point is that it's not as simple and black and white.

Yes, but you cannot deny that AKP has moved Turkey towards a more "Islamist" direction. The laws might still be the same but I have heard from my Turkish friends that things are changing for the worse if you are a secularist. At least there are signs of this according to them and what you hear in the media from time to time. Not saying that Sharia law will ever become the only source of legislation in Turkey. Just in advance.

UK does not have a constitution either. Still the oldest democracy (modern-one) and arguably one of the most vibrant ones. You are being picky here. Israel is a secular state by all accounts, constitution or not. Similarly nations like Lebanon, Syria and Tunisia can be easily considered secular despite also using sharia or having that option open for people. Which I btw think is the best option for most Muslim nations. The option of both secular and sharia law depending on the topic and the wishes of the parties involved. For instance in a murder case, under secular law, for instance in the US, when a state condemns you to death the family of the victim cannot change that verdict. However sharia law allows for a pardon irrespective of the state laws.

after attack to Qatar, deal 350 billion dollars with america, all of world laugh saudies and its allies but saudies angry to turkiye it is so strange
s.arabia lost its prestige in arabworld so they are angry

Well you can even bend the definition as far as making Saudi Arabia as secular by keeping out the sharia laws just as you do with Syria and Lebanon, doest it change the ground reality? Absolutely not...
But i agree there are different forms of sharia rules and civil laws, Syria compared to KSA is certainly secular but compared to West where the idea of modern secularism came up it certainly isnt secular or at least not fully.

As for seculars in Turkey, well they still live their life as usual, even liberties in some areas got better like the first gay pride in any muslim country happening annually during AKP rule.

I bet if Osmanili Mongols had not rule and kidnap Islamic Caliphate & Muslim Nations, we would have been living in a better position worldwide. They didn't develop science and education but they kept killing all potential successful Muslim rulers, they didn't fight poverty, but they stole people money in the name of Islam, they even didn't create any city during their 300 or some years of ruling but they sat idly eating Kebab while watching other nations developing in every single field. If it weren't that British or Attaterrorist who who put an end to that miserable era, All Muslims would have been living like an average illiterate guy lives in in a poor countryside of a poor African town. Thanks Allah.
If it weren't for the Ottomans all Suunis in the ME would have become Shia and North Africa into Catholics!!!!

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Prophet Muhammad’s (saws) Last Sermon

——————————————————————————–
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

[This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul-Hijjah 10 A.H. in the

‘Uranah valley of Mount Arafat’ in Mecca.]

After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (saws) said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year

I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying

very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life

and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to

their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you

will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds.

Allah has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligations

shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep. You will neither inflict

nor suffer any inequity. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that

all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd’al Muttalib [the Prophet’s uncle] be waived.

Every right arising out of homicide in pre-islamic days is henceforth waived and

the first such right that i waive is that arising from the murder of Rabiah ibn al Harithibn.

O People, the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calender in order to make

permissible that which Allah forbade, and to forbid that which Allah has made permissible.

With Allah the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, three of these are

successive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban.

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope of that

he will be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also

have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under

Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right, then to them belongs

the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to

them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that

they do not make friends with anyone of whom you do not approve, as well as never

to be unchaste. O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah,

say your five daily prayers, fast during the month of Ramadhan, and give your

wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab

nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority

over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety

and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and

that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a

Muslim which belogs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.

Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and

answer your deeds. So beware: do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born.

Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you.

I leave behind me two things, the Qur’an and my Sunnah and if you follow these you

will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again;

and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly.

Be my witness, O Allah, that I have conveyed Your message to Your people."
