Guerilla warfare is traditionally very hard to beat by military force, its like cancer cell, it will keep coming back if you dont remove it completely.

Yes it's seems "difficult" to destroy/fight a guerilla style war. BUT that could be wiped out/done very quickly IF the army is 100% involved in it... and not only a special group in the army doing so.
