Turkey pledges to continue providing humanitarian aid to Gaza

"Turkey will keep up the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım told Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on Tuesday, a source in the prime minister's office said.

In a telephone call with the leader of the group that controls the Palestinian enclave, Yıldırım said Turkey would always stand with the Palestinian people, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions.

Since 2007, the Gaza Strip has suffered a joint Israeli-Egyptian blockade that has deprived the enclave's roughly 1.9 million inhabitants of their most basic needs, especially food, fuel, medicine and construction supplies. The latest influx of Turkish aid into Gaza comes within the context of a deal signed recently between Turkey and Israel in which the two agreed to restore diplomatic relations following a six-year hiatus.

Humanitarian aid put together with the assistance of 14 Turkish NGOs under the coordination of the Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), has reached Gaza before Qurban Bayram (Feast of the Sacrifice), also known as Eid al-Adha." DailySabah

Dude if u raise voice for opressed there is a rule of God u will get rewarded many times . Doing good works is nowadays is rare nothing wrong with it .unfortunately today it's worst periods people only supports other if they see some benefit coming friendship is based on getting some benefits because of capitalism effects its the case with whole world not turkey only . Isn't there any people in Turkey who also need a help like this? This government is obsessed with helping their Palestinian/Syrian/Arab (so called) brothers for which it have already spent billions that it took from the pockets of the regular hardworking Turks but it is failing to provide better life for the millions of poor and uneducated people around Turkey...

Instead of feeding a bunch of ungrateful Arabs they should care more about the citizens of Turkey and about the millions of Turks living outside of Turkey who need help. Never help people who betrayed you and stabbed you in the back during one of the greatest wars in history.
