I always wonder in excercises like these how do they even communicate? Because the Turks especially speak barely any English. For Pakistan the officers might speak English to a varying degree of fluency depending on social/education background.

How would they communicate?

English.. Pakistanis and Qataris speak somewhat decent to fluent whereas the Turks speak english somewhat to average

but instead of contour terrorism would like to see full scale military exercises using mostly indigenous equipment

They do full scale exercises from time to time explain they did it earlier this year
