Turkey offer Guided missile Frigate to both Bangladesh and Pakistan

AFAIK its a pretty silly rumour given current state of relations between Turkey and Bangladesh because of the war crimes hangings etc.

B'desh is more focused on chinese vessels as posted earlier.

I mean there was offer of milgem class corvettes... but Bangladesh still went for type 056 corvettes instead.

There was news and a thread also indicating Pakistan and Turkey are interested in building Milgem and also F-22P will have some changes and weapon systems. May be this project would be given some other name. How ever there might also be some deal for 57M Petrol Boats because now Gawadar port is operational.

Turkish Navy was also keen in selling U-204's to Pakistan Navy so may be some other surface ships are also available.

@Penguin any news about this development.

The Bangladesh Turkey relation is quite okay. Bangladesh didn't utter a single word against Turkey. However, she blames Pakistan every other day. Because it considers Turkey as all weather friend in International arena. Specially I have noticed that almost all of my friends in Army and Airforce have officially visited Turkey for few months. There is good army to army relation between Turkey and BD.

Army doesn't control the finances of Bangladesh though....something you need on board to buy something big from Turkey.

Its irrelevant. Bengal Muslim and Turkey relation dated back since Ottoman empire. We even have major street named after Kamal Ataturk. Turkey also have street named after Sheikh Mujib and Zia. Turkey is our major ally and that is the reason Turkey sometimes meddle with our internal politics.They have personal relationship with quite a few of our politicians.

No he is not returned yet. He will return after the last Jamaat Leader who is still in death row gets executed. BD waiting on that so that they can start rebuilding the relationship back to normal again. That also include Pakistan.

Why does Turkey offer it to Bangladesh? Turkey should offer it to india because politically Bangladesh has become a new province of india. Some on this forum speak as if the military is not part of the regime governing BD. I'm astounded by their naive attitude.

actually they should be proud with that, instead of trying to licking Turks ***....

be proud as Bangladeshis is should be the number one priority than trying to get into ummah fantasies
