Featured Turkey may suspend ties with UAE over Israel deal, Erdogan says

My first post is nice and is a critical analysis. We Pakistanis are more severly critical about our own country too. Too much and too blind patriotism is bad too. It makes everyone who slightly criticises u an enemy too. There is nothing wrong in accepting mistakes and short comings. I am actually happy Pakistanis are not the crazy patriotic mostly.

It is not easy for Turkey to alter course, there needs to be a grassroots change in the understanding of the people. There is always extra liberal and ultra secular CHP to call out AKP as well.

Most arab countries have backdoor dealings with Israel anyways, they are just making it official nothing more.

.
Turkey, Azerbaijan and almost all Central Asian states have ties with Israel.

You are simply in no position to play this against UAE unless Turkey cut ties with Israel.
Which ties? What kind of strategic partnership? While damn Israel lobby moving another matter against Turkey every day in the US Senate, what you're talking about?

Please stop generalizing and give specific examples.

Are you talking about trade? Economic relations? Private companies ? Mutual visa procedures? Capital groups? What exactly are you talking about?

So, my answer is that, do not criticize the Muslim countries that have relations with India without breaking the 'economic ties' with India first.

Jammu Keshmir is occupied by India. There is no Turkish territory occupied by Israel. Despite this, the Turkish government stupidly claims the Palestinian cause. For this reason, it has been under enormous pressure for the last 10 years.

.
Turkey won't suspend any relationship. Turkey imports military equipment from Israel. Erdogan knows that Turkish defense joint venture with UAE is too great to sacrify for Palestine.

Bullshit lie. They imported it long time back, but no longer after that!

. .
This was perhaps the objective of UAE all along, nothing to do with the Palestinians but rather, to outflank Turkey with regards to Israeli relations. Crafty. Erdogan has made a mistake by not approaching Israel in the last two months. They're on the same side in Syria and could easily have worked together to isolate the regime and their backers. Poor diplomatic planning. Even if Turkey has a strong ideological position regarding the Palestinians, they should have remained on friendlier terms with the Israelis for two reasons: (a) to stop GCC getting chummy with them, and (b) to exert pressure on Israel to stop supporting PKK/YPG.

UAE came together for one reason, and one reason only. You think UAE did it to isolate Turkey, no. Not even for Palestine. UAE is doing it due to Iran and its proxies in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon. That's the only reason.

I am talking about diplomatic ties. Call your all diplomatic staff back, kick Israel embassy staff out and close their embassy permanently. Otherwise it will look stupid of Turkey to call back ambassador from UAE while you have diplomatic relations with Israel.

You have any information about the scope of the diplomatic mission? As far as I understand it does not exist. You still continue to generalize and manipulate on topics you haven't researched enough. Mutual visa application must continue. Because mutual trade continues. Do you think that state of Israel consists of 9 million purebred Jews? Even if you have such a ridiculous thought, Do you have any idea how much of their origin is Turkey? Turkey has a long history of living together with the Jews and we are proud of this multiculturalism. Selanik, Istanbul, Çanakkale and Izmir have been homes of the Jewish people for centuries. Here is still remains an important Jewish community living with us. What we oppose is Zionism's sicked dreams, not Jewish people.

Ok, Lets forget about trade with Israel, how will you get over to the blockade of Gaza?

It is true that the Turkish government went wrong at some point. You are right about that. Let me explain:

If relations between Turkey and Israel were positive, it could reveals a completely different situation in the eastern Mediterranean. The popular issues today, the F-35 issue and even the Senate's Armenian bill , and some other sanction bills are related to it..

Well for all this cost; What Al Fatteh wing responded? Showed paralleling with Israel, and gave support to anti-TR Gas Forum. Thus, Turkey ironically took its award for all of its diplomatic efforts which include more than 40 countries and lobbying for UN Palestine vote against (so called) US' Jarusalem peace plan.

To disrupt the relations between Turkey and Israel has no pragmatic explanation. This is an understanding based solely on religious and moral foundations and has no concrete equivalent today.

Turkey argues that the two-state solution. We do not reject neither the state of Israel nor state of Palestine. However, the current government completely upended this balance. For whom? For so-called brother Arabs ... ****

Well then the UAE is just making enemies for itself for no reason. It's just ridiculous to be honest.

They unilaterally took this step, perhaps only with consulting KSA, GCC, and Egypt.

Rest of Muslim world were not taken into confidence.

Their disrespect for the sovereignty and dignity of other Muslims is evident.

Shameful.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that he is considering breaking off all diplomatic ties with the UAE after the Gulf nation announced a landmark deal establishing formal relations with Israel.

Erdogan harshly criticized the UAE for its deal with Israel, as most Arab nations have historically refrained from maintaining formal diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv in protest against its occupation of the West Bank.

We have given instructions to the foreign minister. Suspending diplomatic relations with Abu Dhabi may be one of the steps, as well as recalling our ambassador, because we stand with the Palestinian people.

On Thursday, the UAE announced that it had agreed to set up diplomatic ties with Israel in exchange for a suspension of Tel Aviv’s plan to annex the West Bank. Previously, only Egypt and Jordan among the Arab nations have had diplomatic relations with Israel.

The deal was hailed by the US and Israel, but vehemently rejected by the Palestinian Authority.
