Turkey may purchase SU 57 if F 35 not delivered

Sputnik is a mouthpiece for Russia. It's trying to split Turkey off from NATO. Turkey was a key investor in F-35 and they will get the aircraft. Do you think US will risking losing a multi-billion deal over a S-400 purchase? It's a done deal.
yeah that is what i was thinking sir . per trump a crazy idiot can do any thing

.
Turkey should get out of the program and join Russian, each time we have disagreements we will face such action from USA. I say fak them and should go and try Russian fighters. It will be devastating if we pull the plug. The same thing happens with Europe to, look to Germany!

.
I would be surprised if the US Senate had the authority to do that given it's it multinational project and already many Turkish companies are involved in the manufacture of F35's.
The US senate is one of the most corrupt legislatures in the world whose members are mostly all up for sale, and given the extent of anti-turkism in the US right now it wont surprise me if the did vote against the sale. They can pass resolutions but would it have any legal weight? If not then its a stalling tactic at best. It's a done deal, but like previous deals with the US, could be years before they follow through.

Personally, if it does get stalled, I would like to see Turkey invest in a strategic bomber program. Turkey really needs one.

. .

İts a joint fighter program which is considered to be economical by President. İf this program deprived Turkey , USA would have to be comprimise the financial gap.
Only never would Trump do this.

.
A leaving step NATO would cost a billion dollar in international trade. We have been getting by without any SAMs and no one has attacked us.
Having bought russian systems and left USA and EU,
How many dollar could you export to Russia where people are struggling from economic crise?
40 trillion usd economy VS 2 trillion usd economy.

How much do we export to U.S? =')

.
Hasn't the first Turkish F35 already arrived though?

Not sure who's just farting right now? Turkey developing and fielding an own strategic bomber is as ridiculous as rating the German Luftwaffe an operational modern Air Force!

If you look at several forums here there is a - IMO most annoying tendency - that certain Turkish fan boys and kids are spamming the threads so that for those not much informed in such topic it becomes difficult to differ between facts and fantasy.

So the problem is not that I don’t like the discussion, but merely that fact what some are presenting, the way they present these information and most of all that – I would say with a lot of nationalistic fewer included – a normal decent discussion is simply not possible:

These are completely illusion plans, projects a country like the USA, Russia and China or multinational projects by the EU can barely manage with their budget and their vast expertise and experience and you even more present timelines and a budget, no one with the slightest sense of logic and understanding in aerospace matters would rate possible.

There are lists of projects ranging from stealth fighters, trainers, transports, helicopters, AUVS, UCAVs and carriers that even the biggest aerospace countries have issues to manage and finance and some you are presenting them as it would be some sort of plug-and-play.

One has to remember – and that’s not to diminish any Turkish achievements – but a fact: so far Turkey has not developed and fielded any significant major project on their own, none: No combat aircraft, no transport, no helicopter , … in fact NOTHING. All TAI so far has done was participating in local co-production and / or license manufacturing.

So I beg you to stay realistic and accept that there are not few who remain most skeptical on what will ever happen. IMO these projects – in fact – NONE could be taken seriously.

So in summary and i know given your first reply above you will condemn me and my post as arrogant, most often immediately mixed with accusations that I'm as a German should shut up or other kind wordings, but if you would read and try to understand the please consider: to be taken seriously in such a forum – both as a poster and a nation in the fields of aerospace - one has to earn respect and can only be measured by the results, not by endless lists of fantasy projects and fancy PR-CGs and even more by a rationale discussion.

Best,

With who Turkey developed one of the best MALE UAV's in the world TAI ANKA? Turkey have to start from somewhere. For now we have operational trainer, attack helicopter, UAV and we had major problems with a national motor. Well the national Turboshaft motor was ignited for the first time and it would replace the existing ones in T129 Atak and the T625 that will have a maiden flight later this year or some time in 2019. We are moving pretty good right now. I am not sure why are you so pessimistic as we have reached our goals that were for 2018 and we already have the needed technology to develop a lot of complicated platforms. A strategic bomber is out of touch but you made us look like we can't do anything while we are doing everything we said that we would do. If the problems with engine is sorted out then we would proudly call ourselves independent. Also we wait technology and know how fro Rolls Royce and BAE like companies. Antonov is ready to share it with us to.
