Turkish engineers have developed a new power generation system that uses carbon dioxide as fuel. The first prototype to be built in 2017 will take the submarine's diving endurance to 90 days from the actual 5 days in Turkish submarines. The system takes up little space and is quiet.

Türk mühendisleri yakıtı karbondioksit olan yeni bir güç üretim sistemi geliştirdi. 2017'de ilk prototipi yapılacak sistem, denizaltılarda 5 gün olan deniz altında kalma süresini 90 güne çıkartacak. Sistem hem az yer kaplıyor hem de sessiz.

Türk denizaltılarının deniz altında kalma süresi 5 günden 90 gün gibi rekor bir süreye çıkarılıyor. Türk mühendislerinin üzerinde çalıştıkları sıkıştırılmış karbondioksit kullanan güç üretim sistemi, hayata geçtiğinde TSK envanterine kayıtlı denizaltılarda snorkelsiz su altında kalma süresi nükleer denizaltılar seviyesine çıkacak. Teknopark İstanbul'da faaliyet gösteren İdealab, karbondioksit gazını kullanarak oluşturduğu yenilikçi güç üretim sistemi ile geleneksel motor sistemlerine göre daha verimli ve yüksek yoğunluklu bir güç üretimi sağlıyor. Sisteminin denizaltılara uyarlanmasıyla denizaltıların suyun altında kalma süresi katlanarak artacak.

AMERİKA DA ÇALIŞIYOR

Türkiye son olarak Almanya'dan aldığı sistem yakıt hücresi ile çalıştığı halde snorkelsız olarak 15 gün sualtında kalabiliyor. Nükleer reaktör ile çalışan denizaltıları ise sadece ABD ve Rusya gibi ülkeler üretebiliyor. Nükleer yakıt kullanan bu denizaltılar 3 ay denizin altında kalabiliyor. İdealab tarafından üretilecek güç sistemi ise nükleer yakıta eşdeğer bir enerji sağlayarak 90 gün su altında kalmayı sağlayacak. 15 bin kilometre menzile sahip olacak bu sistem ile Türkiye stratejik bir güç kazanarak bu alanda sınıf atlayacak. Karbondioksit gazını kullanan güç sistemleri üzerinde Amerika, Almanya ve Güney Kore gibi ülkeler de yoğun olarak çalışıyor. Amerika Enerji Bakanlığı ve ünlü motor üretici firmalara 6 yıl sürecek pilot uygulamalar için fonlamalarını en yüksek seviyelerde sürdürüyor. Buna karşın Türkiye bu alanda daha önde yol alıyor.

25 kat daha az yer avantajı sağlıyor

Sistemin en önemli özelliği normal motor ve güç sistemlerine göre 25 kat daha az yer kaplaması. Sağlanan bu avantaj denizaltılar için çok kritik özelliğe sahip. Torpido büyüklüğü kadar bir alana kaplayacak sistem snorkelsiz dalma süresini 90 güne çıkartmasının yanında, 15 bin km menzil, yüksek nitelikli iş gücü istihdamı ve ihracat imkanlarını da sağlaması açısından kritik öneme sahip. Sistem Bin 200 metrelik derinliklerdeki basınca dayanabiliyor.


Derinliklere sessizlik katacak

Denizaltılarda en stratejik noktalardan biri ses yayınımı. Dizel motorun sesi 2 bin kilometreden duyuluyor. Karbondioksit yakıt ile çalışan güç düzeni ise sesi 20'da bire indiriyor. İdealab Operasyon Müdürü Hayri Özturan “Denizaltı suyun üzerine çıktığı zaman hemen hedef oluyor. Suyun altında kaldığı sürece stratejik bir silah. Denizaltının oluşturduğu ses yayınımı ise tespit edilebilirlik açısından hayati öneme sahip" diye konuştu.

Karbondioksit gazı sıkıştırılıyor

Türk mühendislerinin geliştirdiği güç sistemi, buharlı üretim yapan sistemlere benzerlik gösteriyor. Buhar yerine karbondioksit gazı kullanılan sistem, gaz 'süper kritik bölge' olarak adlandırılan alanda bir pompada sıkıştırılıyor. Sonra bir ısıtıcı vasıtası ile basınçlandırılmış gaz ısıtılıyor.

If this does go into full production and implementable then it's going to be a very big achievement for our Naval research. The u-214 is stated as the last submarines we buy and then milden hopefully.

it seems very soon Turkish Navy submarines gonna house the system. its gonna hapen.

because, as far as I know, turkish recent defense hardware & software projects r wholly application based. there's no time & fund to b wasted in experimental systems. previous successful projects was tagged with vendors who're already has existing systems, upon which turkey can develop it's very own one. every such project ssm ended up on an operational model. MBT Altay, MilGem, CiRiT, UMTAS, Hisar-O & A, Gokturk, MPT-76, TF-100, Hurkus etc. r the examples.

Translation is more or less adequate. Except CO2 is not used as a fuel but as the system fluid.

System in principal more or less works like a steam turbine....but instead of steam it uses CO2.

There is only a conceptual design....although company says, it gonna produce a working prototype in 2017.

About 15.000 km range..... it is not entirely true.
- 800 km with 20 knot
- 1600 km with 10 knot
- 12600 km with 4 knot

Let them babble, just ignore the barking and keep doing what you're doing brother. Czar used to bark at Ottoman empire and refer it as sick man of Europe, the Europeans used to bitch a lot too.
