Iran and terrorist groups must withdraw from Yemen, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in an interview with France-24.

The French channel also quoted Erdoğan as saying Turkey may consider providing logistical support to the Saudi-led military strikes on terror targets in Yemen.

“Turkey may consider logistic support bases depending on the evolution of the situation," Erdogan said.

Saudi Arabia and some Gulf states including Bahrain and Kuwait launched air strikes on the Iran-backed Houthi targets in Yemen on late Wednesday.

The Saudi-led military mission comes after the rebel forces have increased their presence in Taiz, which lies between Sanaa and Aden. A total of 100 coalition fighters, involved in the strikes, have begun to pound suspected terror hideouts after the Houthi militia and allied army units took control of Aden airport on Wednesday.

The rebel forces have reportedly withdrawn from the airbase near the airport following the air raids.

Logistic Support Centers

Is that codeword for terrorist and insurgent training and supply facitilies?

Turkey had never been anti iran like this before, neither Pakistan. In Iraq their influence was natural and accepted. But the houthi take over has cost Iran a lot of friends. Did they miscalculate the whole thing?

Turkey and Pakistan have not been Iranian friend to begin with. Turkey was Iranian enemy and Pakistan was not, however after the slavery Pakistan showed to the saudis recently, wave goodbye to any Pakistan-Iran relation.
