Turkey in Afganistan: Pak Support is Must

This is a right move but at wrong time so totally unwise. With this Turkey is also looking to increase its geopolitical reach but Afghanistan is not a place to do that. Hope sanity will prevail and Turkey wont do anything that gives lifeline to Ghani/India/US/EU plans for perpetual civil war in Afghanistan.

Pakistan is the ultimate arbiter vis-à-vis Afghanistan!! The following interview shows the rest are all Fasa Fiso.....

Turkey is basically trying to negate the Civil War by showing the non-Taliban supporters, which isn't exactly dormant, that not everything is lost! If the Taliban can subdue the opponents 100% no problem, but if the remnants are there then be ready for the worst-case scenarios...

Before Turkey became strong, it showed its ambitions that did not match the power.

going back to that interview with shuhail shaheen

i can say turkey’s involvement will be interesting to follow

Frankly, it is NONE of Turkey's business to remain in A-Stan and control the Airport of Kabul. It is unacceptable. Turkish Troops in A-Stan are NATO TROOPS. The Turkish actions are hostile, and the Taliban have every right to attack Turkish troops. I hope Pakistan takes a firm stand against Turkish hostile actions.

Pakistan should only support as long as Taliban and the Kabul regime is on board.
Absolutely, why the foolish Afghans are fighting each other is pure stupidly. They need to sit down and talk and resolve things peacefully. Stubborn politicians should be fast tracked out as they cause too much carnage and the poor suffer while the politicians stay safe behind buffer of guns. Turkey's contribution to an Islamic peace force would more appreciated under the direction of an agreed multiparty Afghan council with Taliban as head. Iran, China, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, the Arab league can all help undo this failed state into an economically strategic success story. May the Afghans have peace and the children a bright future and success, they have suffered enough.

Turkiye must realize...
There is a context to it's entry in Afghanistan... and that context is in direct contravention to the power in waiting... it's losses and achievements.
Turkiye does NOT represent liberation even if it paves streets of gold in Afghanistan. It represents the last vestige of an occupation that wants to leave the door open by having one foot in the door.
Turkiye will be burning bridges and prestige the day it comes in direct conflict with Taliban...

These warnings thus remain ominous and one to heed.
Remember Talibs don't want the help of Turks for their at this point inevitable ascent to power. They definitely do not want a foe either...
Turkiye is showing great naivete by expecting Pakistan or by using Pakistan as a crutch to it's stay in Afghanistan.
I doubt they'd be able to blame Pakistan... as the epiphany slowly dawns on something otherwise quite clear.

latest statement from IEA official is crystal clear and self explanatory -

turkey is not welcome in Afghanistan

I can't stop laughing at Pakistani turk fanboys saying that Turkey is there to support Taliban. Oh dear lord, save me from the cringe.

these fanboys are dreaming ertugrul styles horse raids and pretty turkic dames running kabul ATC .

very poetic

This article is from journalist Resul Tosun, a former MP and close to Erdo'an:
  • Turkey feels she has a historical responsibility toward Afganistan
  • Turkish objectives: peace, reconciliation, progress, moderation, less influence from Russia/China/Iran etc.
  • Turkey wants to invest in building institutions of administration, military, education, health etc. 1.1b$ has already been spent
  • There're 5 fractions in the Taliban - Russia, Iran etc. have their supporters - Pak close to the strongest fraction
  • Turkey doesn't want to get into fight with anyone in Afghanistan. Pak's support and cooperation with a hint of jointness is a must to keep it that way
  • Turkey is looking forward to a long term presence in this region in cooperation with Pak in a win-win mode

Whats the rush Reis Erdogan.Hold on to your horses, the world isnt ending.. too many chefs spoil the broth..Turkey should not try to counter influences in Afghanistan, why because its Pakistans playground and Pakistan knows how to manage it, we have fought wars for it and sacrificed like no other.no matter what Turkey aspires the direct neighbors will retain a certain degree of influence..their turkic community is a fringe element ...besides being turkic doesn't necessarily mean they will always be loyal to a country based on history.
long story short what they are insisting on is a clear violation of Doha declaration. Abiding a treaty in Islam is the most important thing.

For Turkey like we said in Urdu than da ker ka khao (to dosomething thoughtfully, not acting hastily) it’s better for turkey to not open another front they are already doing things is Libya,Syria n iraq. going through bad phase with saudia.uae.Egypt n Iran. Tailban will not stay in afghanistan they will act in Turkey too.so be patient Turkey for ur turan dream bcz China Iran n Russia are ur opponents in Central Asia

there is no reason for pak to support turk present in afg. zero benefits...

Turkey should withdraw its forces from Afghanistan at this time because the Taliban are looking at it through the eyes of the occupying forces. After negotiating with the Taliban, they came up with new goals۔
