Self sufficiency in oil/gas even if partially even for a decade will save Turkey billions of dollars annually.

To protect those reserves, Turkey would need better military.

Money saved from buying oil/gas would then go for different military programs/RnD.

More RnD, more projects leading to stronger military.

More projects mean more products.

More products mean more export.

More exports mean more allies/better allies and more money.

More money means more development and RnD.

And all of that would lead to more stronger foreign policy.

Last year we spent around 41.8$ billion on energy and i believe the share of natural gas was around somewhere 25% something like that so about 10$ billion was spent on gas.
